    Default 10k checkup #3: 25nl

God I started out running horrible. PokerEV had my expectation and showdown winnings over $100 apart after 1500 hands. It evened out a bit by the end, but I think the early losses got to me a bit, hence the next 3500 hands...

    first 5500 hands:
    18/15/4
    -$38.90
    -1.42ptbb/100

    next 4500:
    15/13/4.5
    +$344.2
    15.09ptbb/100

    overall:
    17/14/4
    +305.3
    6.07ptbb/100

At first I was astounded by how many short stacks there were. They gave me trouble at first and shook my confidence a bit. I posted a few hands, read anything I could find on them and now I'm happy to see a table full of shorties. I scaled back my requirements for playing a hand a bit, this 10k is a bit tighter than the last one (18/15/4 vs 17/14/4, then 15/13/4.5 for the last 4500 hands)
I made some adjustments to my multi-tabling setup. I was 8-tabling tiled fast tables, by the end I was 12-tabling cascaded normal speed tables, I pull one or two interesting tables to the side and watch them while I wait for hands. I'm close to where I wanted to be for 50nl, but still short. This is irrelevant because I've decided to change my bankroll requirements significantly. I'm off to start an operation...

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

Everything looks fine to me in terms of stats.

I also prefer playing only normal speed tables as well. Even when you're playing more tables than you would if you were only playing fast tables, you get the same hands/hour without being rushed on important decisions.

That was my thinking. I get just a few more hands in /hour, but I don't feel rushed even with 12 tables. I might add a few more, maybe not... my laptop can't really handle more than 12.

What makes multitabling difficult in full ring is when you have to make two decisions at once that require more than a moment's consideration. Then you're often forced to rush your decision on one table just so you can get to another. With normal tables, this isn't so much of a factor, even if you're playing more tables.

Even when doing videos, I used to prefer four fast tables so I could get more hands in, but I found myself timing out often during explanations. With four normal tables, I might get in a few less hands per hour, but I can explain things and take my time when I want to without the fear of timing out.

A little bit loose and aggressive preflop imo. However, if you feel comfortable and really crush your games, just go for it , why not?:P
once i get my new powerful PC next week, i should be able to play 10+ tables

Awesome TAGgy preflop imo, not much to argue with the stats u posted.

I´m very comfy w/ 16/14/4 (my pc could, but I can´t handle more than 9 tables playing that fast), my att. 2 steal is fairly higher at 36% I guess, 32% should still be near optimal tho.

This is kinda weird to me, because it seems like I steal every chance I get. I'm missing some, better keep that in mind.

    Thanks!

I think I need to add tables one at a time. I went from 4 to 7 last night and thought I was going crazy. I don't think it helps that my notebook monitor just isn't that big (I was in a hotel) so I had 3 of them overlayed on top of other tables.

Btw, when you either tile or cascade the tables do you do it manually? The one time I had Windows tile them it REALLY screwed up the resolution on the tables.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

Well, I generally have pokerstars do it. When they tile it they make the tables small enough to fit as many as possible, then overlay them if they can't go any smaller. I switched to cascading in order to try to get more tables in, now I do it because it's just easier to focus on a specific table. At normal size I can't fit two tables in on my laptop without overlay, so even 6-tabling at the smallest size left me with plenty of overlay. My desktop has a much higher resolution, but i just like cascading better now. FOCUS.
