    Default 2 hands 10NL - a little rusty

Background: I'm just getting back into poker after a long break. Last year I worked my roll up from 10nl to 50nl but was forced to cash-out due to forces out of my control. I did leave $280 on FTP (in case I wasn't able to deposit) and I'm trying to start good habits.

    Hand 1: Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed)

    UTG+1 ($8.95)
    MP1 ($10.60)
    MP2 ($8.20)
    CO ($9.95)
    Hero ($10.80)
    SB ($9.15)
    BB ($3)
    UTG ($4.90)

Reads: I have seen SB bet aggressively when on the draw with 1 card to come.

Preflop: Hero is Button with , .
5 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, SB calls $0.30, 1 fold.

    Flop: ($0.80) , , (2 players)
SB bets $0.8, Hero raises to $2.3, SB calls $1.50.

    Turn: ($5.40) (2 players)
    SB bets $5.4, Hero raises to $8.15 (All-In), SB calls $1.10 (All-In).

    River: ($18.40) (2 players, 2 all-in)

    Final Pot: $18.40

    Hand 2: Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed)

    MP2 ($10.80)
    MP3 ($8)
    CO ($4.20)
    Button ($6.40)
    SB ($5.30)
    Hero ($21.35)
    UTG ($0.30)
    UTG+1 ($1.90)
    MP1 ($13.05)

Preflop: Hero is BB with , .
    UTG raises to $0.3 (All-In), 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.30, 5 folds, Hero calls $0.20.

    Flop: ($1.00) , , (3 players, 1 all-in)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $0.5, Hero calls $0.50.

    Turn: ($2.00) (3 players, 1 all-in)
    Hero checks, MP1 bets $1, Hero raises to $3.5, MP1 calls $2.50.

    River: ($9.00) (3 players, 1 all-in)
    Hero bets $4, MP1 calls $4.

    Final Pot: $16.95

I am posting these hands because I was confused about what was going on and made a gut decision/guess

    Any analysis would be appreciated:
1.) What did the opponent have?
    2.) What did I do wrong/right?
3.) What would you have done?

    Hand 1.
    1. Anywhere from 2PTK, TPTK, 2pair, straight, and FD
    2. Raising the flop is fine, but when he calls and pots the turn its a fold. You only beat AxC.
    Board: Qc Jc Kd
    Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
    Hand 0: 36.641% 33.45% 03.19% 29473 2811.00 { QsTs }
    Hand 1: 63.359% 60.17% 03.19% 53015 2811.00 {JJ+,Ac2c+, KTs+, QJs, ATo+, KTo+, QJo }

    3. Fold the turn

Hand2 I'd bet the river bigger when I hit the straight. If villain is really aggressive/likes to bluff, I might check to induce a bluff from a missed FD, but that's non-std for me, especially if villain is at all stationey...

    1) I don't have an issue with the flop raise, but the only reason I personally do that is hoping that villain would then check the turn and allow to see both turn and river for the one bet. Then, fold the turn because not only does he not give you the free river card, but he's claiming that he's got a good hand already (pair of Q's is certainly beat) and your odds on your draw are terrible.

    2) If I'm going to raise my draws, again I'm going to do it on the flop for the same reasons. As played, raise bigger on the river. He seems to have decent hand, and he's probably not putting you on a straight here.

As far as what the villains had, I'm only usually able to pick out strength vs weakness rather than specific ranges. It's something I'm really trying to work on.

    Thanks for the comments.

This was literally my first session since August and it was done at my parents house (no PT or PAHUD available)

I have played another session or two, and watched some videos in the FTR library (i really like those)

I actually won both of these hands, but after reviewing the hand history I saw how badly I did.

I think my read on the first hand was pretty good, although in the heat of battle, it was probably more of a gut reaction than a chain of thought.

    Villians Holdings:
    1.) Jh Ad

    2.) 4h 4c

    Takeaways:
1.) These are both marginal hands in marginal situations and I got lucky. I plan on tightening up and hopefully my next HH I post is reflective of that
2.) I was upset about my play in hand 2. I should have been put AI after my turn re-raise. I want to try to only bet when I know why I am betting.
