Non-Standard Hands

I'm going through some of my PT hands & picking out ones I played non-standard to see if there's any merit in my variations / get discussion going. Converter's a little messed up. Hand1 I think I was actually BB...


MP1: 32/3 over small sample
CO: 30/10/1.5 over 200 hands

The preflop call is non-standard for me. The flop call could be questionable with only 6 clean outs and initial raiser left to act.

Villain here is 22/2/1.2 over 100

Really not sure why I pushed the turn here. Doesn't make much sense for me to give a reason for JT/QT/JJ+ to fold. Flop call is questionable. Villain with these stats minraising me here likely has TPGK beat, no?

#1 I don't hate preflop. I don't hate the flop, but you have to be sure you're gonna get paid if you hit the turn, cause you're not seeing the river for free. I like the rest.

#2 If he has AK here, you get no money from him unless he has AKclubs. Many times he has AA, KK, QQ (due to the 2%) and he's trying to be tricky. Take the free card and punish him for giving the free card.
As played, you're either pushing here or on the river. Might as well get it over with to make it look like a club draw.

curious.. unless i'm reading this wrong... hand1... calling a pfr from a x/3 with QJo oop?

hand 2... pfr'ing KTo oop? Was the table super tight? as played i'd keep this pot small and take the free card, agree with the shove on turn

That's why this thread is called the "non-standard" hands. As in I played them in non-standard ways. Who knows why my likely beer-addled mind decided to flat from the BB with QJo?

The KTo PFR isn't that non-standard for me, unless I've already been laggin' it up at the table...

There have been a few times where I couldn't fill my 9-table screen with 100NL tables & add a couple 200'ers. I always justify it with the ol' "this $60 avg pot table CAN'T go wrong" rationale.

I know, I know. The wife actually gave me a scolding one night where I stacked aces with a seta twos and she's like "that's great that you won $200, but you shouldn't be playing those $200 tables yet"
