    Default Spontaneous Spewing Disease

What the hell do you do when your poker brain becomes terminally ill and your game falls into total disarray where you jus make desperate rediculous thin calls all the time. How do you regain the love of playing well and making folds you think are good and can take pride in. Has anyone else had a totaldestruction of focus and if so how do you get back to your best game.

Examples of the rediculous recent stuff:

Calling big river bets on 4 flush boards with top pair cos the guys prolly jus repping it.

Insta checking flops in unriased pots when I've made top pair for no good reason at all other than that maybe I can check raise and put myself in a horrible spot by defining my hand far too expensively.

Defending my small blind with hands like K,J off suit all the time just because it's two face cards and I'm feeling futile and card dead. I'll prolly check fold the flop after i miss or get stakced by AK on K 3 .

So yeah this rut has destroyed my play and I'm just spewing to hell. Help.

If I knew what Nutsinho would do, I would be 12 tabling $50/$100 6 max and not have this problem.

    Default .

if you get in a spot where your chasing and making hero calls, its probably because you havent been getting any action with your good hands, and simply havent won any nice pots.

happens to me, i get bored, start playing more hands etc...

stick a note on your wall that says...

"Variance comes with the cards and cannot be avoided, but can be magnified with variance in my play. Whether you are on an upswing, downsing or breakeven stretch, bad play's are bad plays"

if that doesnt work, change tables

umm.... take a break?... seems like the most obvious/easiest solution.

Come back when you've regained your focus.

Keep it simple. Bet good cards. Fold bad ones. Don't bluff. Don't 2barrel. Open range TAGG. PLay ABC poker until it rights itself, then slowly add back in big river calls when your hand reading skills are working again.

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

I'm not playin em aggresively just findign reasons to make shit calls and getting rushes of blood to the head that cause rediculous non sensical plays. But yeah I find sngs resotre my game to normal when this happens cos I don;t tilt nearly as bad with them. Played live tonight in a MTT and played really well, theres something about being able to press the call or reaise meter really quickly before I have a chance to think that isn't good. Controlling emotion is my problem when im running bad online.
