Flop looks like a good spot to raise/fold. If he shoves over the flop he's either smart enough or he has a better hand (set/2p are the only realistic holdings to fear), either way I think you give him credit. Flat calling doesn't really provide a whole lot of information and leads to checking a poor turn card like you ended up doing. As played you could lead the turn, but I think that only gives him a better pot-size to shove into a lot.

But I'm still nubbish so take that for what it's worth.

yeah i thought about that but what will I raise to?

Hmm, yeah, that does make it tough because any decent sized flop 3bet is basically going to commit you to call a shove. We don't really have any way to spot a set or 2p so we probably just have to stick it all in and hope he doesn't have it. I think you're up against 2p far more than a set because so many people have slowplay syndrome when they make sets and typically will not raise the flop. Not having a read makes this tough though because there is the odd thinking player out there.

Personally I think you played it fine. I certainly am not interested in getting all of my chips in the middle with just tptk.
