Default Strange hand v. loose passive

Vill is 65/30/1.3/84. I have a note on him that sez "donkbets weak w/weak"

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

    saw flop|saw showdown

    MP ($195.20)
    Hero ($151.45)
    Button ($98.50)
    SB ($106.90)
    BB ($115.35)
    UTG ($100)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J, Q.
1 fold, MP calls $1, Hero raises to $5, 3 folds, MP calls $4.

    Flop: ($11.50) T, 8, J (2 players)
MP bets $2, Hero raises to $9, MP calls $7.

    Turn: ($29.50) 2 (2 players)
MP bets $9, Hero calls $9.

    River: ($47.50) T (2 players)
    MP bets $40, Hero ...

How often do we see a T here and how often a busted FD? What's with the sudden strength on the river?

    Bigger flop raise.
    Value raise the turn too.

I don't think the river is an easy fold. This guy seems pretty erratic and no stranger to aggression.

well we beat J8, J9,89, and missed draws, which there are plenty of. in my experience betting 2 streets like a pussy, then going like 4/5 pot is normally strong. normally with their weak hands they bet like $12 again.

I'm not sure I understand why the river can be a call. What are we expecting to beat? Shouldn't this be a T more often than FD?

Thanks for the advice guys. I think raising the turn here would really be the right play. Calling the turn created the tough spot on the river.

The bet seemed really fishy to me so I looked him up. He had 8s3s for overplayed bottom pair turned into a bluff. The call felt really spewy though.

Does pot control apply at all on the turn? At the time I just wanted to get to showdown and was planning on calling a non-scary river card.

this and call river as played, we should be good enough of the time with so many draws that missed.
