I think I fold. This flopped smacked villains range and he either has you dominated by a set or you guys are flipping.
Flopping quads and boats like its my job

Check flop, lets see a turn card.

damn fnord, you always have to throw a spanner in the works by suggesting a crazy nonstandard line lol. But seriously, i dont see how checking this flop is ever a good play, we want to find out if were behind and want to make draws pay if were ahead, what else does checking achieve bar getting us closer to showdown?

It's not my problem your thought process hasn't evolved past "KK with no Ace on the flop ZOMG BET"

If it goes check, bet, raise, we're probably behind and lose the minimum.

Can't do this, too much money behind and too many turn cards we will have to check/fold.

Seeing if the turn card kills our equity before we put lots of money into the pot.

Its a mistake to commit much if any money on this flop.

I'd prefer to make a small mistake c/f'ing the best hand than a bigger mistake when we're behind, or need to fold a lot of turns if called.
Just dipping my toes back in.

ok, well your right in the fact that my thought process in this spot is yet to pass 'KK with no Ace on the flop ZOMG BET", yet i still find parts of your arguement for checking this flop flawed. First of all if we check and it then goes bet raise then often we can gather we are behind and lose the minimum, however, if it goes check, check, bet what do we do then? call oop when we are often ahead and are giving control of the pot to the villain, or check raise bloating a pot on a dangerous board. I can see your point with the making draws pay statement, but i still want to charge them the max anyway, i can reevaluate what to do on the turn. Though i can see the logic of your statement i still believe leading the flop for 3/4s pot to be the most profitable line as we gain the most information about villains holdings by doing so.

I do this every now and then and consider it good poker against players who call tight and bet often.
