    Default 10nl: StacksOffAlot?!?!?

So in my session earlier I played only about 130 hands and in that small timeframe hit -3.6buyins. Here are the 4 major losing hands that did it for me. I really don't think I played them that badly. Any thoughts? Or can I chalk it up to bad luck and keep on grinding?

I hope it okay that I just linked you to the pokerhand.org of them. Seemed much quicker/cleaner than posting all 4 in here.

I really didn't have any stats on these guys and no reads (was just beginning my session). The only play I'm not too sure about was 3b AQo against the shorty and stacking off with TPDK on the flop there. I know the JJ hand was just "damn... not much i can do there". As well as the QQ, but barring the results, were they played fairly well? Thank you.

Just realized it may sound as if I'm being results oriented, but I'm really not. I'm just wondering if those were played fine and if I could have possibly gotten away from any of those hands and saved the stack?

The first two hands should have been dumped on the flop after all the aggression shown. Always try to excersise some kind of pot control when all you have is a pair; it's not something you want to gamble with all your money, without reads.

Looking back I don't really like the AK hand too much. Should I really be c-betting the flop? I mean with the J and T up there it seems to have maybe hit his range pretty hard. Obviously after hitting my A on the turn I was getting it in, but still.

you are bad. blanket statements are worthless.

    anyways
    h1. qq. seems standard
h2. jj. pot turn. c/f river
h3. ak. check behind on turn. your never getting more money in w/o being behind. 1/2 pot river for value if checked too fold to a raise
h4. aq. you kinda have to stack here if you 3b. i reccomend checking the flop and try to play a smaller pot because your rarely getting money in good. this is an easy wa/wb situation.

Hand 1. No. You beat a bluff and JJ, pitch it to his minraise.

Hand 2. Pot the turn! fold the river.

Hand 3. You're c-betting to fold AK-AQ, and I'm not completely sure they fold with a gutter and 2 overs at 10nl. As played call the turn.

Hand 4. I'm stacking off if only for the reason he min-raised preflop and his range includes any A or a FD.

I dont like stacking off with just a pair unless the baord is drawy or I have reads on the villian as a general rule.

Hand one you need think about what hands want to get allin, what hands want a cheap showdown. Tx, JJ+ want it in, 66-99 want to see a river. AK only wins 25% from the flop onwards. The rest of the pack you stuff. This kind of hand your either way ahead or way behind so its not necessarilly a good idea to be looking to get your whole stack in there.

JJ you stuck another $7 on the river with Jack high. yeauck, this is horrible.

AK isn't so bad but you are only ahead of AQ+ A9, most other hands your ahead of will be scared by the ace on the turn and you dont get much out of them by betting this turn.

AQ fair enuff due to the draws.

Go open up an ancient page of full ring hand histories, open up a load of hand histories with plenty of answers. Work out what you think is going on then read the replies, then work out what are the differences between the replies and your own opinions and why.

Avoid reading shorthanded histories as they will confuse the crap out of you.

My only comment beyond what you already have seen here is that you are tending to get a lot of money in without allowing time to really figure out what the other person has through betting patterns. You are also overvaluing hands you shouldn't be considering the evidence in front of you.

Hand 1 just bad luck against a donk, hand 2 I would have thrown away post flop, hand 3 as soon as he pushes on the turn I'm folding and hand 4 I'd probably get stacked as well because I'm doing the same thing. AQ vs. AK sucks.
