Hate the call in the first hand.
Second hand I think the call is ok.

If he bets the turn he has outs + a possible best hand and is pretty much committed. Checking behind he can call a reasonable river bet or put one in. When he gets shoved on it's probably a fold but it really depends on how the game plays and what he thinks of his opponent.

turn check is fine in hand 1, but the calls really bad, 9s in his rane more often than you think and hed also do this with alot of 2 pair combos.

hand 2 you played fine up to the river which is once again a fold for me, kq,jq,qq and aq all firmly in his range here.

A little deception, too. Opp instacalled the flop bet and when he checked the turn I didn't think he'd improved, so I decided to check behind to make it look like I'd missed and induce a stab on the river. Wasn't expecting a shove but then I figured he didn't want a call so I did.

MHIG in both cases, villains had QTo and AKo respectively.

hand 1: i dont like a call on the river at all.
hand 2: you must call his overbet with your set.

referring to hand 1, I attempted to bluff this exact board last night with a missed QJo. didn't work for me either, but then I didn't make a retarded overbet push.

I think Hand 1 is far better to call than hand 2.
