1/2 boat in the SB vs likely flush, lead or c/r?

Villain is a very bad, very passive regular whom I have at 20/8, loves to limp preflop with sooted cards and slowplays his big hands after the flop even on draw-heavy boards. I've been robbing him blind when he limps.

Well, on the turn I think I'd rather bet 40 but I guess that wasn't the question. I think a river check/raise here would be the best way to play it, as even though he is passive, he should still value bet all flushes whereas he might just call non-nut flushes.

an overbet shove would be better than a c/r, and betting like 95 would probably be better than both.

key error made this hand though was your tragically small turn bet size. bet 42, shove river for pot, ez game.

I like the overbet line because it says I missed my straight don't call me

Bet more on the turn, it's not like you're having to balance this line with a lot of weak hands. Lots of people saw the flop, you potted it and the turn was good. Bet close to the size of the pot again and see if he's going to call you down for a lot of money.

Agreed, and i just prefer a near pot bet on river against this villain.

What about a flopped straight or something like J T or 4 5? It's easier for me to have a hand like that than it is for me to have a boat on the turn.
