Light 3-bet live $5/$10 wheee

Default Light 3-bet live $5/$10 wheee

I have ~$900 at the start of the hand. My image is tight and straight forward. No one has a clue what I'm capable of.

$5/$10 $500 buy-in live (you may rebuy a full additional $500 if you have around $250 or less)

    A couple limpers
CO (over $3000) is loose and aggressive. His willingness to gamble, ability to build pots and less that god aweful big pot decisions make him a winner although I think a lot of other people don't see his merits.
CO makes it $30 (pot builder)
I have and decide it's time to give some action so I make it $120.
Dealer friend guy in BB says "If I call will you call?" CO replies "I don't have shit" (he's not lying), dealer reminds them about one player to a hand. BB calls, CO calls.

Let's say $380 in the pot.
    :Jh: :Js:
Checked to me and I bet $250. BB folds, CO tanks mutters "Ace King" and calls. I'm not sure if he's giving me hollywood or really weak.

$880 in the pot, $530 behind
    Turn:
    :Kd:
    CO checks, I shove...

    How'd I do?

How can he make a mistake here? The only hand he calls the bet with is one that beats us. Also I dont think we're getting him to fold any better than we have. I guess as a protection bet it makes sense but we have position and know the cards that scare us into a check...Any A and any heart. Does he bluff shove the river on these cards often enough to make more value shoving here?
Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.

I don't like pre-flop cos I'm an online nit. in fact, I struggle to understand this situation for the same reason...

Thinking about this a lot... how much 3-betting happens here? I mean, do they develop a strong suspicion for QQ+/AK when you play pre-flop like this? What's CO calling range pre-flop? are there many jacks in his range?

Flop you gotta do what you gotta do...

Turn, well I hate the idea of folding to a river bet here, and there are a lot of horrible rivers so you don't want to check the turn behind. The line you've chosen folds most Ax hands and flush draws that aren't AhKh, should fold KQ, and may even fold AK?

Yes, this is the EXACT range he's putting me on. Hard to pass up a chance to get credit for that range a couple times per session.

Pairs, 2 suited cards, broadways. Probably top 15%ish discounting the top shelf stuff (although I'm not sure if he raises those bigger or not.)

On the flop, I'm thinking Jx, 2 hearts maybe something like 88 but that wouldn't fit either. That said, I don't know him well enough to eliminate him having something really weird here.

The last 3 times in live games that I've run into Kings, my opponent flatted every single time. It just doesn't happen outside of a short stack LoLShove getting involved.

ok, the more tight-straightforward he thinks you are, the more I like your line. In his world, players like you check behind your range except for KK. And your read is that he's smart enough to know that KK beats JT.

is he smart enough to open shove most rivers if you do check behind? if not, then is checking behind also an option?

preflop goot, flop goot, turn yahtzee instafistpumpshove.

I'm curious as to what you would do if an ace drops on the turn. If not an ace, a deuce.

    Smells like CO hollywooding 44.
3xbb pre with 44 is a standard pot building move.

I like preflop. Using your image is not something that a lot of players are capable of.

Turn shove I don't like. I'd rather act weak and have CO bluff into me. I think it'll get the max out of villain and besides, aren't we only worried about 11 cards anyways?

Although 44 may be in his range, so is 22/33, 55+

The turn shove is for only half pot. If we check we let so many lesser hands get away. Hero has already shown enormous strength, I wouldn't like to bet into this action if I was CO.

Although I'm pretty sure villain is on a flush draw.. it would suck if he was on something gross like KQh.

Well, his hand was still good for half of the pot...

i dont like a C-BET vs two loose opponents in live games. As played, i 'm leaning towards a pot control line even if flush draw is in his flop calling range.
