Chopper, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, you have nearly 3000 posts on this forum and have been here since 2005. Why are you limping A8s UTG at $5NL?

    And the answer is yes.

Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here..

I'm not the greatest player at all, and have only been playing micro cash for a while now... you can look up my operation to see how I suck... but here goes...

Don't limp A8 utg... but since you did, and you hit top showing pair, villian checked, you bet, then get called. Strange... ok, so he has two overcards expecting to hit or looking to setup the flush draw...

Flush doesn't appear, but villian hits his A... he is on A-x with the x being 9-K. I think he is holding Ad, Td.

He bets pot on the river? He's repping AK in his hand but he didn't raise pre-flop? I doubt him... call or raise. I'd even be tempted to shove here.

ok ill give this one a try as well. Im not the greatest but i would have to raise in a 6handed game here too, but there was no raise so i would say that trips are not out there either, you hit top pair with top kicker but I honestly think that the bet on the turn was too small. I might had gone alittle bigger to prevent the flush draw or two over cards from hitting. So i would say that monty is pretty close to being right with a10 or a 9 of diamonds. I would reraise the river, even though the bets on the flop was weak. This is also saying that I have identified this person as a typical microstakes player. If he is really tight and not seeing alot of flops I would be careful on the reraise and just call, Not sure if I am right or not but this is how i would play it. take care

re-read the HH. "not my HH" and, thanks for that catch, chin.

    ...Good Question........Where am I?
I was going to say the same thing as chin... anyway.

You know me chopper, I'm a puss on the river in a situation like this. I'm calling. I think... I dunno. Depends on villain. Goes back to "is he a slowplayer"?

let's do this....as i just got some new information from my "friend" as he tried to defend himself.

he swears the villain was running 10/3 over 100 hands. does that change anything?

Just makes it a call or fold rather than a raise.
