hand 1: villain is a regular running 14/8/2.5. Is this an instant shove on the turn?

I hate AK versus the regs

It's probably cause I lose lots of monies shipping it in spots like these...

Hand1 I go into pot control mode cuz yer only beating AQ/QQ/KK and it doesn't seem likely to get 3 streets from any of those.

Hand2 you're only beating a missed flushdraw turned into a bluff. Strange line, but I've seen sets do this. Terrible line for a set but wtf? I have a hard time putting him on any other hand.

Hand 1) Its way too late for pot control. EZ ship.

Hand 2) against a 13/6 hes never bluffing here and never value betting worse so its a fold. I had a hand just like this yesterday and paid it off and it was a flopped set that decided to slowplay on the most drawy board ever till I made my trips on the river. Sick pot odds but I think its still a fold against this dude.

Hand 1) One option and it's to ship. Prolly TT, AQ, or AK but well played throughout

Hand 2) Villain will do this with any sort of boat most of the time, the problem is that i think it's marginally +EV to call anyways on the river. Standard cooler I assume vs AQ.

soaking up ethanol, moving on up
    hand 1 ship
hand 2 why not check river behind? if this guy is a reg then nothing worse is calling and everything better is getting you in the spot you found yourself in.

    Hand 1:

    a) Question: Why do we 3bet AK?
    Answer: For Value.

    b) Question: What is our target SPR for TPTK in 3bet pots.
    Answer: Any SPR below 4

    c) Question: What is our SPR in Hand 1?
    Answer: SPR is 2.6

    d) Question: The SPR is below the target SPR, what now?
Answer: We are commited because SPR is way below target SPR. We want to play for stacks.

    e) Question: But Villain called our flop c-bet, he must strong, what do we do on the turn now?
Answer: We bet Turn $ 50 and call any shove. Again, we are commited.

    Hand 2:

Its a crying call, but we can hardly fold getting 3.6:1

    Hand 1.
    Pretty easy, stick it in.

    Hand 2.
There arent 3 streets of value here unless you have a boat. Check the turn or the river behind.
Also, if this is a reg (and hes good) his line is sick on the turn, he doesnt raise because he knows you'll throw your stack in once you bet the turn because 'OMG we have trips'

it's sick that the river bet in hand 3 is probably too thin for 100nlFR on Stars.

yup, its way too late for pot control in hand 1. However, i think i should've gotten away from hand 2 on the river vs tight nits. A few stupid regulars in 100NL games on stars slow play sets, boats and nuts like crazy all day.

thanks, guys. these two hands indeed suck a whole lot and cost me two buy-ins.
hand 1: i ship it and lost to TT.
hand 2: i made a crying call(a mistake) and found that such a baby turtle had AQ. What a fucking sick line there !!

I don't get why hand1 is such an easy ship on the turn.

Yeah the pot is massive but I can't see this villain calling with anything we beat, other than AQ maybe. If we're getting it in anyway, why not check and hope that villain bluffs with his KK/QQ

Good point. We can still ship the river if that fails.

Yeah, and I think it's slightly more likely that KK/QQ will call the shove (albeit still unlikely) if we check the turn, than if we fire flop & turn.

one way or another im shipping both hands

    1. tptk + 3bet pot = nuts. only when the board is total garbage is this not the case. even when villain is super super super tight nuthugger this is the case. if villain is so tight then you shouldnt get into a 3bet pot with him with this hand in the first place, but once you're here the odds are enough

    2. easy value bet no question. villain can so easily have a weaker ace. even if the flop and turn bets werent mega sissy would he be able to have them.

and fat lol at thinking b/f river is any kind of good. rule of thumb: if you could bet a river large never b/f for equal or less amount.
