Default 100NL - NFD checkraised big

I was mucking about at 6max earlier and came across this hand... I'd only been sitting for a couple orbits but from betsizing etc I think villain was a reg.

    What's our play here?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($153.05)
    MP ($115.85)
    Hero (CO) ($100)
    Button ($100)
    SB ($307.05)
    BB ($100)

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q, A
UTG calls $1, 1 fold, Hero raises to $5, 3 folds, UTG calls $4

    Flop: ($11.50) 4, 8, K (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $8, UTG raises to $32, ???

i'd call and shut down unimproved. i believe you have enough equity to continue.

Well, given our opponent is a reg I don't like a call very much. If we think our Ace is good then we should probably shove since it's 6 max.

Most of the time our ace isn't good here without a read and we should just fold because we wont have the equity, let alone the implied odds to call against his range.

yeah i prob didn't think this one through enough. Since you're not likely to get paid off when you hit a call is prob the worse line. Furthermore, since it looks like you have virtually no fold equity a shove is pretty high variance. Ergo, folding is fine. ??

Personally, if I'm rolling with a solid BR + want to develop an aggressive image I can't see myself getting away from this hand. It just feels too much like the nuts and I prob shove.

Same as my thought process in the hand. Only problem is that, if he's not bluffing, we've only got something like 27% equity in the hand. And is he really bluffing here vs an unkown (me)? I don't think so. So I think it's a fold.

He's repping such a small range though if he really is a reg, no?

I'm pretty sure a 'reg' is not limping UTG with any of his range in 6max.

~30% is not bad imo, especially considering what you gain as far as meta game. And if you stack him here he may tilt and spew off more chips to you whereas the reverse is less likely to happen... unless you're a tilty spew monkey!?
