You got to put out a feeler raise to see if your opponent is going to play shove poker. As soon as he/she feels that they are so short that they have to play shove poker, you make your move. As long as the blinds are low enough. When you have position with a hand worthy of a raise, you push. You can call with the SB with junk, hoping that they shove, thinking that you are trying to see a cheap flop. You let them do this a couple of times and then you smooth call with a big hand and call their all in bet. Remember, if they lose the hand, they are done, so they can't possibly (well, at least shouldn't) have the variety of shoving hands that you have. You use that to your advantage. Be aggressive, but play smart. When someone is that short you don't want to try and outplay them, you wanna get your money in good and hope that your hand holds up. Plus, if you got them that short so quick, even if you lose a race, you'll still be even or about even. NLHU is one of my favorite games. It is action-filled and exciting. It is great practice for tourney play as well. Many people are not good heads up players due mainly to the fact that there are very few hands and oppurtunities to do so in a MTT. Keep up the good work.
