AKs in 3bet pot

Cant remember who villain is, assume normal taggish type.

His donk led me to believe he has 1010, JJ alot. I assume he can fold these quite a bit to a raise. On the turn I pick up flush draw plus have some fold equity if he was stick y with 1010-QQ and two good overs to that range. I can't b/f obv without burning money i think so I shoved to maximize FE. thoughts?

Ahh I forgot turn was a 10 when I wrote this up. No I didn't think he had a set although 1010 is in his range. He's gotta be more likely to have JJ, QQ though.

Would you check behind turn? I've gotta be behind but I have decent equity now on turn and akward stack size.

I wouldn't do this without some history/read/right game dynamics. If your read is just his a normal taggish type, and your not sure how he views you and no info on the meta game, your better of taking the free river and calling a moderate sized bet if you hit an A or K and obviously get it in on a non pairing board diamond.

Let's say his calling range is QQ and sets. Lets assume he would 4bet AA/KK preflop and doesn't have those:

Equity wise, you are wayyy behind his calling range. As far as fold equity, the only hand your making him fold from his flop calling range is JJ. This is all assuming that his a normal taggish type and no further reads that is. A lotta tags flat 3bets OOP with small PP semi deep, set mining, especially if you haven't been 3betting much so I would not dismiss 22/55 from his range.

i wouldnt really be expecting him to bet/fold a hand better than yours on the flop unless youve given him a reason to believe you are playing incredibly straightforward in 3bet pots. Therefore i'd probably call since you are deep and either have 6 outs + backdoor nut draw or the best hand.

I think preflop should also be a call most of the time.
