    Default Limping SB wCrap=bad

Had a great example of why limping SB with ATC can be a bad idea this morning.

Anyone half good in hero's position will not felt his TPNK, when SB hits just about his best possible hand, he either wins a small pot, or this happens.

    Hero's M: 50.00

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, 6

SB checks, Hero checks, Button checks

    Turn: (t60) 6 (3 players)
SB bets t60, Hero raises to t180, 1 fold, SB raises to t1480 (All-In), Hero calls t1300 (All-In)

SB had 6, 3 (two pair, sixes and threes).

Players limping from the SB really annoy me sometimes, but usually I forget about these wins.

That aside, does your 3-bet not give drawing odds to the villain if he is on the flush draw?

    Bet the flop?

No. If he flats I'm not getting all in if the river flush comes in.

And I don't bet the flop because I don't inflate the pot OOP. Button could have limped anything, and this is not a hand I'm even interested in for 60 chips until the turn 2pairs me.

If I bet out here, why don't I limp Acrap and bet top pair? My plan is c/c flop, similar blank turns. Lastly if I lead I turn my hand face up

Perfect example of reverse implied odds.

Personally I would bet the flop for 40-50 or so. There's a big difference between saying you won't go broke with less than two pair and betting what is most likely the best hand at this point.

If I have a preflop plan I find sticking to it best. I've been in tough spots betting out TP from blinds recently and all the advice I've had points to checking in this spot.

It's close, but I still like taipan's plan, you can certainly be called by worse...personally I probably bet it like 60% of the time. you would usually expect the button to bet this flop vs. blinds tho. I trust myself to play the hand decently after the button bets but it leaves you in awkward position on most turns, so I think representing some kind of hand rather than is better than leaving yourself open to being bluffed.

    You mean "definining your hand."

I'd rather c/c, and have opps bet worse hands into me. I also like small pots until turn hits

I think SB played the hand badly, but his main leak here was not the limping from SB but pushing over the reraise.

I think BB played the hand too passively, I would probably raise it preflop with what is probably the best hand and easy 60 chips, I would definitly bet the flop for about 2/3 of the pot
