Default I'm starting to suck. Help me.

Don't no why I've never posted hands before. I guess I just thought I played good, lol. But I've been sucking lately and I need help!

These are all hands from tonight's session, I realize I was probably on tilt a couple of these hands, but I was in denial during play. A lot of these hands might make say "WTF, were you thinking?!"

That's why I'm here to improve my game with your advice.

Before we continue, I want to point out a few things I believe I need to work on.

Blind play, 3betting in poistion, playing an overpair in a 3bet pot, playing an overpair oop...etc.

#1 Not sure, reads could make your line okay, but vs tight opp we can fold turn

#2 If you´re going to take it to the turn, I don´t think a check/jam accomplishes a lot

#3 wait, I misread the HH. Tough, I can´t see many hands that we´re ahead of. Yet, I´d play the same.

#4 standard, you should be ahead almost always on river given his line

I´d have never went all-in two pair since the board allows a made full house, a flush draw, and a runner-runner straight draw for my opponent. Too Risky!

Hey! Two JJ pair making two pair twice in a row?! Amazing! That´s charming... Ehehehe... It seems you lost againt a better full house! That´s disgusting... But I think you played well - despite of the possible made full hand just after the flop! Again, I use to play tight with a pair to the board...

I think that just by posting these hands I have prepared myself mentally. It's like I just admitted to FTR that I suck and we all know the first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have one. With that said, I will post hands from tonight's session and we'll see if anything has changed![/b]

Actually this is pretty much it, at least for the major losses. I was able to end the session up 3 buyins. I just wanted to get feedback on if I played any of these hands terrible, perhaps could have saved some money. I'm not even going to bother posting the winners cause it's just standard boring stuff.

    Hand 1
The only thing I think I did wrong here was probably raise the river, I got greedy. Then again, based on my read, I thought I had the best hand.

    Hand 2
This play is kinda meh, I like to throw this in sometimes. I like to push AK if someone 3bets out the blinds. I have no idea why, leak perhaps? I always think they are 3betting to steal. Like I said meh.

    Hand 3
Do you thinking my betting is weak? I know the flop bet was definitely weak, but what do you think about the turn bet? I knew I was ahead, I guess I was trying to bet enough to where he would chase. River, I still thought my hand was good, given the previous action, I guess you can call this a value bet?

Yeah you've got to post reads here man, or the people here won't be able to help you much. If you don't have reads, then as ben said "If you cant provide reads, that right there probably identifies your biggest problem". And delete those results b4 everyone sees them.

You're are the worst hand poster evar! wtf is this "based on my read I thought I had the best hand".. Post your damn read!

Oh and in all seriousness the best way to see if you played a hand good or not is to look at the results of the hand.. If you won then you obviously played it stellar.. If not then reevaluate why. But I'm sure you already knew this.
  27. #27
    In your new post:

    Hand 1: Just call river.

Hand 2: I'd just flat his 3 bet and see a flop, your utg thus he should give you alot of respect, he looks very strong.

hand 3 is played so badly it makes me want to cry, your iso size is way to big for a start, just make it $3, as played bet a little bigger on flop, $5.50ish, and if your gonna check the turn check raise, check calling is beyond horrible. Also your river donk bet sucks ass. You said in your original post you thought you played good, looking at all the hands you posted you definitely dont, post more hands.

It's absolutely amazing sometimes.. It's like they post hands wanting feedback, and then don't even read the feedback.. How the hell does he miss the berating? Or is he expecting us to just overlook it?

Wait, so you're saying that he should worry about how people respond to his posts? That seems like results-oriented thinking.
  32. #32
OP - there's no value in just posting your biggest winners or losers of the day. If the biggest pot you lost was AA vs KK all in preflop, would you post it? There's nothing to learn from that. Post hands that you actually considered to be tough spots. Even a small pot can be a tough spot.

    As played:

hand 1 - he's leading pot into you on river, I'm not raising this river very often. Feels like a slow played boat to me. I don't think a hand like AT is just gonna lead pot here.

hand 2 - This is completely reads based, and how nitty SB is and how nitty you've been. I think people are strong in this spot a lot, so it depends how aggro he is. I might flat IP sometimes in this spot.

hand 3 - This hand puts me on tilt.. both players in the hand. I don't hate the turn check, but once he bets such nonsense I'm c/r here. As played, bet waaaay more on the river or c/c again if you think he's weak.
