Default £5/£10 - multiway with JJ and whale

-UTG is a big whale 50/14 type of player. I've seen him limp a few times EP and usually calls after limping. I've seen him once limp raise AQ but that's the only time i saw that
-I haven't been isolating on the whale THAT hard really, generally with solid hands just because he's gonna station me postflop. He's the type that will bet the turn if I check through flop, but will shutdown on river unimproved. He's a station when he's not the aggressor, but if he raises postflop he almost always has it
-Based on flop timing of bet, I'm not tooo worried about whale having me here (though its possible) but I'm also worried about the players behind and what the best line is
-players behind are all tagg regs

    £5/£10 No Limit Holdem
    6 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG (£1115.75)
    Hero (UTG+1) (£1888.00)
    CO (£2796.50)
    BTN (£1072.00)
    SB (£884.00)
    BB (£1597.50)

    Pre-flop: (£15, 6 players) Hero is UTG+1
UTG calls £10, Hero raises to £40, CO calls £40, BTN calls £40, SB calls £35, 1 fold, UTG calls £30

    Flop: (£210, 5 players)
SB checks, UTG bets £200, Hero ??

I wonder why you left out the fact that this whale is super passive and only shows aggression with nutty hands... Worst hand I can see him having here is like A8...

I know it's nitty but how sick would it be to fold here?
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

if the worst hand he can have is A8, i would still peel. he could have 99 or TT here as well.
Flopping quads and boats like its my job

Well I did say that if he raises postflop, he definitely has it! So that speaks a lot for his AF.

I've actually never seen him donk lead, especially into a big field, no clue what this means.

I really don't like flatting here though with so many ppl to act. I'm just inviting all sorts of action and given that ppl know he's a whale I think ppl might call all sorts of stuff here getting good pot odds.

I feel like my choices are raise small or fold... but I'd be interested in hearing thoughts on flatting being good.

This is usually a Top Pair type hand and very rarely the nuts. I'd be much more worried about a minraise or check/raise then when he leads pot. He's probably just getting frustrated that everyone keeps raising and he finally has pair and wants to put you to the test!

I'd raise it up and get it in against this player almost always.

haha u r so fked here

not saying you re beat by the fish almost ever, but you are in such a shitty spot oop vs a bunch of regs who will smell dead money and semi-bluff with hands with good equity that sometimes have you drawing to 2 outs and you won t be able to fold etc etc

i d just fold believe it or not. there s just pretty much no way this hand can go down well.
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

    Lighting sweet moneys on fire.
I fold without thinking too much about it tbh. Sry.

I also make it 50 pre.

I would raise/call some of the time and call re-eval some other chunk of the time.

i dont think calling is a bad play at all
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

Hmmm i'm just really not sure what the exact effect of having 3 people behind you here is... Does it make it a fold? Maybe. Reads on the other players would be nice (for example, if there are 2 17/16 type players behind you i'd be more inclined to fold).

I kind of hate raising here as an option just cause no one is really deep enough. Its the best line to get value out of the fish but if you get shoved behind is it really correct to fold? its going to be really borderline.

So i guess just call cause i can't think of anything better.
