No real history. I know he's a tag. I ran sort of hot within the last couple orbits and 3-bet him from the blinds twice. What do you do? Fold to the worst board ever?

Edit: He's running 24/19/4 and folded to my previous 3-bets.

This hand gives me a headache. I'm really tempted to call this river though. I feel like the most hands I'd worry about getting to this river are Ax spades type hands, but I expect most of those hands to put in a raise earlier.

I suppose its possible he could have aces up, but based on how he's been playing and folding to 3bets I'd expect him to have more pair type hands.

I'm sure he could have 77 here sometimes... I just wonder how often he's turning a weak made hand into a bluff here... ugh this spot sucks.

    River timing on shove?...

The river shove wasn't especially quick or slow.

Is he really likely to have floated you twice with an A here? I'm more worried about a set that hopes you were barrelling with an A. I probably call, but not thrilled.
Just dipping my toes back in.

hmm, i think id even shove river. basically its a blank. as played though we have to consider if 88-TT turning their hand into a bluff, they should feel there hand isnt really good very often and its an amazing scare card they think.

tbh Id prob snap at the table

betting turn and not shipping river doesnt really make sense. your hand is either strong enough to barrel all in on a terrible board or you should pot control immediately on turn. river is between shove and c/f, he doesnt have a lot of incentive to bluff the river. keep in mind that he always has at least a pair - random flush draws that arent helped by this board are rare and generally just get the money in on flop or turn..

Id have to say call this river. I'd put him more on a middle pair like 88-JJ if anything. Floating with ace high to the river is a moron line if he did.

nutsinho summed it up well. That being said I think checking the turn is better than turning your hand into a bluff. River is not even close as played, fold.

If we had a spades here or like 98 or something I don't mind it. I'd have to say though if he didn't take a decent amount of time on the turn there's no chance he's folding unless he has 55.

I agree w/ nutsinho ... If you're betting the turn I think river shove is mandatory. Bet turn then c/f river seems like you're wasting money since it's such an easy spot for him to shove all in with anything. It's not like you ever ever ever have a 7 when you check here.

I'd likely just barrel turn and jam river expecting to get called by lots of worse hands since it's a spot that most players are going to assume a ton has changed when really hardly anything has changed at all (and thus I think would think your range is polarized to bluffs and the nuts.
