    Default How to spew profitably

Maniacs are the most loved and hated players in poker. They are loved because they make any game a cash cow. There is no greater joy to a 16/12 6 max piece of shit multi tabler money hoarder than having some 62/47 sit down and spew their money all over the place. There is also no greater sorrow they can experience than seeing almost all their money in the pot with AA on a J82 rainbow board, clicking the bet button, getting shoved on, and snap calling only to see, yes, 82s deflate their erections to an awesome degree.

Early in my career I think people thought I should go to SA, spewaholics anonymous. I knew my addiction to spewing was great. I loved spewing. I loved shoving 27o over a fourbet and seeing someone fold. I loved shoving T7o over a fourbet, getting called by AK, and seeing four sevens and a ten fall on the board, and feeling sad I couldn't lick my tears of my opponent (sigh, if only it was live).

But instead of kicking my habit I have learned to live with my spewing. My spewing leaves me incapacitated sometimes, clutching a teddy bear in the darkness, calling friends who told me spewing was no good. Spewing just wanted my money, she didn't care about me. Spewing would tell me spend your money on me, when will your other friends be around when you need a good time? I was, and always have been, blinded by her awesomeness.

And now its your turn to inject yourself with some spewage. Trust me, you'll smoke this stuff every day.

How to spew profitably: First off, in order to spew you have to not have hands all the time. This is easy, you just click the raise or call button instead of fold. Being in position is the super hardest part of spewing. It takes a lot of skill and creativity. Essentially what you want to do is when you feel like your range is ahead of your opponents range, you bet, and bet a lot. Try your hardest to put your stack in. Aq4 board and you have 87o. Screw it, fire 3 barrels. Overbet the turn if you want. Now here is the sad part. When your range is behind your opponents range, check. Check as much as you can. Find a way to hit that two pair with your 92o on a J95 board.

Out of position is my favorite position because spewing comes so easy. Because your new found love for the call button, you need to check raise, and check raise constantly. You want to check raise so much that your opponent bets every decent hand he has when checked to and checks behind all his weak and air hands. Make sure your c/r so much he doesnt even bluff anymore. This is key. C/r the flop, and if he calls, c/r the turn! Don't stop until your seeing the river with every hand you have. When you threebet preflop, do you normally cbet the flop? Well thats done for, there's too much check raising to be done! When you 3bet so much your range is going to be so massively behind your opponents you want to get to that river. Oh and fuck them and their easy play 4 betting asses. Let them 4 bet you a bit in the beginning, but if you feel any inkling that they may be bluffing, shove over that fourbet (See: licking tears). Make sure you threebet 2.5-3x their raise, so their 4betting isnt as effective.

Its also important that you now become a huge station. Being a station is another key to spewing. Because we are playing so aggressively, there are going to be situations where we never have a good hand. In these situations call down no matter what until you are absolutely sure they stopped bluffing you.

Any spew that is noted in this post is approved by me.

    my favorite ways to spew:

    1) 3-bet in position with 62s or the like, flat 4bet

    2) 3-bet oop with suited broadway, flat 4bet

    3) raise preflop, 1/2 pot flop, 90% pot turn, 2x pot river all in

    4) 3-bet ip, get flatted, 1/3 flop 1/3 turn 1/3 river

    5) flat 3bet from blinds and power minraise their autocbet (power minraise = minraise + 1bb)

    6) never fold a gutshot or backdoor nfd ip on flop

    7) automatic 4bet bluff ip with Axo/Kxo

    8) automatic cold 4b bluff from bb vs sb/bt with Axo/Kxo

    9) open sb for 4x and 100bb shove 22+ Axs+ auto

    10) automatic lead flop from blinds with gutshot or overs+bdfd, usualy lead turn and shove river

all i could think of for the moment, 10s a round number

Is this spew? Haha wow this is so standard for me! Maybe I'm spewing unintentionally. Maybe I can fold the bdnfd, but a gutter? hmm naah

That hand is such a classic nutsinho hand! So the river bet was a bluff originally right?
  22. #22
I think its a vbet, its clearly a vbet id make against someone bad. Although DerekJC clearly isnt bad at all.

I'm trying to understand the thought process on that hand nuts, and I don't really get it.

-flop c/c because you think there's more value in c/c a marginal hand here than betting
-turn potentially c/c or c/f sometimes. We expect him to bet all his Jx hands here again
-river lead (I'm not entirely clear on what hands we think will call us here worse than 77, given that we c/c flop and clearly have some kind of SD value).. seems suuper thin?
-He shoves river, representing JT, KQ or TTT. We expect him to bet JT a good amount of the time on the turn so we can discount that. Now he's only repping KQ or TTT... we can potentially fold....
-BUT.. he knows we never have the nuts (KQ) or almost never since we c/c the flop instead of betting ourselves, so he can be jamming on us knowing we don't have it. So that makes us call?....

maybe I'm just way off on all reasoning here.....?

I agree with the reasoning on the river that he hardly ever has the nuts here so he's much more likely to flat with the hands that beat me. I generally call and find they've turned something like 89 into a bluff which beats my bluff catcher though

derek: AJ/ AQ/ KQ here im thinking, OR maybe pockets ( 22 > JJ maybe)
nutsinho: AQ suited, AK, 10 10 - aa.

derek: betting like AJ here...or maybe 66 - 10 10 in pockets or KQ and is semi bluffing..
nutsinho: 10/10 and JJ still possible..would have prob bet qq, kk or aa with this flop...and maybe still AK or AQ waiting to hit.

nutsinho: not playing JJ anymore ...only AK or AQ..or 10 10..
if i was derek here i would have double barreled..so now could only have 99 and is slow playing..

derek: now he is saying he got kq here but he should have double barreled and would have onyl called on trips now that st8 on board so could easily be bluffing..

nutsinho could be justified in calling with 77 here...
