Default AK 3bet and barrel shove

Okay this play is pretty new to me but I think against the right regs and some history this can become quite profitable.

Opp is 19/13/2.2 (UTG open 14%)
    fold to 3bet: 64%

Maybe I didn't quite set this up right for a turn shove, or maybe it's not the greatest because of his position and hand range, what do you think. (he tanked forever and called)

    $1/$2 No Limit Holdem
    5 players
    Converted at weaktight.com

    Stacks:
    UTG Maartz ($208.05)
    CO DD6 ($242.00)
    BTN muxulus ($193.25)
    SB Hero ($702.80)
    BB Mat_F ($218.80)

    Pre-flop: ($3, 5 players) Hero is SB
Maartz raises to $7, DD6 calls $7, 1 fold, Hero raises to $28, 1 fold, Maartz calls $21, DD6 folds

    Flop: ($65, 2 players)
Hero bets $40, Maartz calls $40

    Turn: ($145, 2 players)
    Hero bets $634.80

    Final Pot: $779.80

Stats on DD6? what kind of range do you put him on calling the squeeze UTG with someone left to act, and do you think he ever has anything besides TT+ after calling the flop?

bad board for this IYAM. i prob just c/f flop.
eeevees are not monies yet...they are like baby monies.

Stop making "plays". Do things because they are profitable vs certain ranges and players.

    And, what Bode said

This looks like a desperate AK- just the hand villain loves to put you on.

as stated, i haven't been doing this. i tried it but obv it was an incorrect spot. i suppose the important thing is sauce' theorem where we want to do this when we KNOW opp will be flatting 3bets with lower pairs and floating flops

I think this is the problem with the hand for the most part. His range is waaay too strong here to try this.

Versus a looser opponent who defends lighter to 3bets, I think this board is ok for this.

He'd have to defend 3bets wide + float flops .. cuz i think everyone and their mother is calling with a pair if we shove this turn

    c/f flop sounds good
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Can offer RB deals on most sites, PM me.

I'd prefer a b/ck/shove line here mostly. I'd expect most 77-TT hands here to check back the turn and we get a chance to hit our outs and can still shove river.

I'm not convinced that everyone is just calling a shove with some midpair here though. Depends on your image I guess.

cool that's an interesting to bet flop, check-shove turn. i agree most mediocre hands check back turn.

against this specific opp i think c/f flop is prob okay. the only hand we beat here is AQ imo

Problem I see with this, is you're probably unlikely to do this with a strong hand on this board.
Just dipping my toes back in.

    not check-shove turn!

bet flop.. check turn and give up if he bets, but shove rivers sometimes if turn checks through.

A lot of people might take that line with hands like TT/JJ and even Qx sometimes, so its a reasonable line. He's also not very likely to bet this particular turn if we check.

hah thats true makes sense. i think i'd check back 1010/JJ here on this board if i were him... and if he sees ME bet he'll convince himself often enough that he's probably no good, like I slow played or something, although he knows I wouldn't have KK/AA right? I'd have to play flopped set/QQ/AQ/KK/AA this same way then cbet/check/shove yea?
