Default 100NL, WTF? why i cant value bet in FR games??

villian is 17/13/1.9 over 360 hands, His 3 bet % is 3%. On the river, it seemed that its pretty hard to get any value from his weak range. What to do? folks. These games are so GAY.

c/f ,maybe? I doubt that he'd call with any worse hands. His KQ just got there?

I think c/f may be reasonable because he's not going to have many bluffs in his range on the river here (I guess) and he probably checks back hands with resonable showdown value. He probably wouldn't even bet AK since you aren't really calling worse either..But I guess that really depends on how he thinks.

these FR games are postflop passive nitty like ass hole. I guess i'm going to switch and value town in 6-max.

Im opedipus bitch, the original balla.
Pretty gay spot. I feel nitty if I c/f river, but idk. His range still has loads of strong hands in it (unless he raises turn with his sets just because like some do). He still have KK, 66, 88, KQs, AK in his range. Against that range we have 33% equity. I really don't see any worse made hands that he would call with.

So it seems checking is correct. He surely bets {88, 66, KK, KQs}. Not so sure if he would bet AK or not. And he probably doesn't have many floats in his range that would bet river (maybe 97s), but prob not.

So yeah, idk.. Seems gay to c/f, but not sure if betting is correct, and check/calling doesn't seem great either. That is unless he raises the turn because of your betsize with his sets.

I feel I mess up in these spots pretty often, so looking for some feedback.

Also, as a sidenote, I don't like your betsizing on flop and turn. I would go a bit bigger. Like $10, then $27 into $33 on turn. Leaves you with less than a PSB on the river.

his range is sets, ak, 97s, and 99-JJ, c/f is actually ok, but he might bet AK which would suck a lot if you folded, and I think you're gonna see AK a ton so I'd prefer a small bet and fold to a raise.

Also I don't agree with bigger bets because you aren't necessarily looking to get allin

$22 so he has to call with AK

I looked at it with some poker software and its reeeeeally close between bet/fold and check/fold, assuming he'll always call with AK, he'll never fold when ahead, he'll always bet AK+/97s if you check, and he'll never do anything nuts like double float or turn JJ into a bluff.

You can't check/call unless he bets really small.

So given that 100nl FR tends to be more passive and he won't always bet AK/97s, check/folding seems to be best.

Interesting note, if you were to do this without weighting his hands appropriately, bet/fold becomes better than check/fold.

I really like just about all of your advice because I agree with all of it.

I was thinking of firing $20 on river. Good spot for a blocker/extreme value bet.

Maybe this is a tough spot because it is our next decision in a hand that was probably posted because we lost. That and the fact that KQ is the most likely holding that we were ahead of before the river.
