    Default Question about a spot

    50 NL
    Stack Sizes:
    Me: $110
    Him: $65

    Folds around to me
    I raise to $2 on SB w/ 99
    BB Reraises to $6
I elect to call and flop is 10 6 3 rainbow
I check and he bets $8 into a pot of $12

I don't have any info on this player
    what do I do?
Should i have 4 bet preflop or bet out on the flop?

Honestly you could go any of the 3 ways you said. I'd just c/c now. There can be an arguement for leading or 4betting if you have any specific reads.

I would fold pre-flop and if I had called I would check-fold on this flop.

(It's a good flop for 99 but I don't want to play a big pot OOP where I could already be crushed 1/2 the time and villains overs will suckout a 1/4 of the time and because you have 0 reads he can barrel any turn and you would be hating life.)

If I knew my opponent well & he had a wide range I might call in position and then I would peel the flop.

I wouldn't 4B 99 pre-flop either probably JJ+/AK vs. an unknown in this spot esp. as effective stacks are like 125bb.
Currently thinking of a new quote/signature... Some sort of prayer to the Poker gods for enlightment etc..

that's a pretty weak-tight way to view poker Noble

Yeah I sort of realised it might be when Massimo's input was pretty different to mine.

Are you guys comfortable calling 3Bets with hands like these vs. an unknown and playing some poker oop?

I tend to 4B more often than call oop but it's usually my stack off range and air/A'x' for card removal effects not like 99/88 etc.

I wouldn't 4 bet without more information. As played I can't really see doing anything other than calling. c/f a lot of turns though.

if you raise 99 you have to call a 3b because it's too strong to fold
if you don't want to call a 3b then call pre and call a raise
