    Default out of my league

    game is 5-max 5-10

i got it in vs villain w AQ on 68Q fd board earlier and sucked out vs his 68 and he tilt-chatted for a bit. i know nothing about villain besides the fact that he s a reg and can spew pre (he 5-bet shoved 89o in a blind war earlier)

    eff stacks are 2.8k

I flat his HJ raise w on btn and we see the flop HU

Flop is he c bets 55 into 80 I raise to 211 he INSTA makes it 715

    help
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

I don't think folding here on a paired board is the end of the world.

None of the other options seem overly good to me here.

I fold, but I really just stopped by to hate on your title because I've been singing patrick swayze for two days now.

what will be horrible is when all you young guys reply with "Who is patrick swayze and what's this dirty dancing?"

I probably would as well most of the time and now you can't do anything other than fold.

is it really that unnecessary to have a flop raising range this deep in this spot?

sure, trips, quads, random air (stuff you wouldn't think about mucking to a 3b)

I would call because we have showdown value, and a non-nut draw
when he has like KJ unimproved or 67 or whatever the fuck sometimes we get to show ace high down

Why is it bad to raise this flop (aside from repping a narrow range), when he conceivably has tons of hands that might continue to the raise (J9,KJ, Ak/AJ even, Qx etc), but that might not continue to further barrels.

    hmm, can we rephrase?

Is it really necessary to have a raising range on this flop? If it is, wouldn't it mostly be weighted towards air given the unlikelihood we have Tx?

Also I'm not a fan of having a balanced range for doing it, this deep

raise when you have the nuts
who cares if it's unbalanced, if you posted raising with air everyone would be like "lol no one would believe you here" etc etc so obviously raising with the nuts must be good?!

it IS actually quite terrible because we fold out almost all of his worse draws on the flop and we have showdown value. The only good part about raising is that you almost never get 3bet. Let's just raise with 79dd and complete air instead, and apply lots of pressure with those hands. Play your best draws for value.

fold as played. call flop i think, raise your weaker draws
