Default Check folding flop w/ overpair - 50nl

Posting since this hand generated quiet some discussion in IRC. Couple of orbits into this table, no history between the villians and me, both seem mediocre regs at best, erring on the passive side preflop. If I have an image its "unremarkable reg" at best.

Now I think it´s not a great board to cbet and being 3way his cbetting range rather tightens than widens, I´m oop vs the PFR and there´s a chance of BB check raising. Whatever rolls off on turn or river I will hardly get any more value when Im ahead, will be folding the best hand a lot and won´t be able to bluff much myself b/c theres so little I could represent.

IRC people said you wanna call flop, b/c people cbet too much, b/c our equity isn´t that bad and that calling preflop makes little sense when we´re folding this kind of flop.

Villians are basically unknown, havent done anything horrible yet

    Stacks:
    UTG ($26.55)
    UTG+1 ($74.45)
    CO ($50)
    BTN ($51.35)
    Hero ($52.50)
    BB ($52.10)

    Pre-Flop: ($0.75, 6 players) Hero is SB
    1 fold, UTG+1 raises to $1.75, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.50, BB calls $1.25

    Flop: ($5.25, 3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG+1 bets $3.50, Hero folds

It's not that bad a board to cbet, if he's willing to fire some turns. If BB raises it's an easy muck.
Just don't c/f the turn too light and you'll be fine calling.

One of the great things about calling with this hand is when we get a flop like this we can take over initiative with our relative position. I would lead the betting here and force them to play their hand face up. Like you said though, if your not calling on a flop like this at least then why call preflop. I'd play for two bets but not three barrels.

Also remember that people like to 2barrel these boards light, but rarely triple them.

Leading flop seems good as well, especially 3way. I would hate seeing a raise tho so my play would be c/c.

If you think you have the best hand, and that PFR is unlikely to cbet on a particular board, then just lead yourself. Leading here looks reasonably strong into two ppl, so you probably won't get bluff raised off your hand too often.

I think lead/fold is fine against these types of villains. C/call is ok too because ppl will shut down on so many "scary turns" here with all sorts of hands that you both beat and lose to and you can block the river.

    leading>calling>folding.

what's our plan on various turns depending on who calls our lead?

The turn is tough and i think there are so many options that depend entirely on who calls and what the turn card is to go over with here.

Here's an example: If pf raiser calls flop and bb folds i would be ~2/3 potting any diamond, board pairing card or anything <J. This would be a b/fold. I would be c/folding any ace.
