Air Conditioning

    Default Air Conditioning

The last three days it's gotten up to 83 degrees in my house. Typically my magic number is 80 for turning the air on, but my awesome wife has convinced me to hold out a few more days. I fucking hate it and want to choke her out. She is cold-blooded (winter time she piles on layers while I'm in shorts/t-shirt), where I am obviously warm blooded and HATE to be hot. She wears the pants in the family, obviously, so I'm sitting here at 8:15pm in an 82 degree house. We have an attic fan and all of the windows open, so I guess that helps....but it still sucks.

What is your magic number, or do you just flip it on when you feel uncomfortable?

P.S. It's supposed to be in the low-70's the next few days so that's another reason why she told me to hold off. I'm hot right now and don't care what it's *going* to be......but she wins, woot.

Try not having air conditioning at all!

Although I am also a cold blooded individual who wears the pants so I guess its not too bad.

82 degrees is a nice cool evening in a lot of places. What kind of high maintenance diva are you?

you'll understand when you get married. I will concede on smaller issues like this, but when there's a big issue out there to decide on, I'll hear her out but it's almost always my decision, end of story.

yes rilla, I love going on the road and blasting the shit out of the AC. the wife hates it but that's what happens. I just give her extra covers.

and yeah 82 isn't baaaaad, but I've sweated a few times today, that should not be happening inside my house.

My roommates like that. Has the ac going 24/7 in his room even when its like 60s out. I like it warmer, but we moved into this house in november without thinking to check if it has ac or not. It doesnt...

I keep my place so cold, esp. before bed time, nothing sucks more than being hot at night.

I'd say anything over 75 is too warm, although I enjoy the heat when I'm outside, I cannot stand it when I'm inside.

You think the wife changes you climate control situation. . . wait till you have a kid. Now I sleep with the the heater on at night anytime it gets below 70. We tried the space heater in his room thing first, but that cost me a grand before I realized how much energy those little fookers take to run. Damn you "even pay".
Playing live . . . thanks alot Bin Laden.

haha, I wonder if george, lukie, or gabe even get this..

and ya, I am def like your wife ug, I hate the cold. Winter sucks, and AC is overused in almost all instances. My ex was like you, needed AC, and would get overheated and irritable when it was mildly warm. In thailand it was like 75-90° and extremely humid everyday. I fucking loved it! But it was nice to have AC in the hotel room I guess.

hell yes I get that, I'm still kind of pissed about it too

as for the AC, yeah, I'm a bitch, but I just like being comfortable goddammit

well to be fair, I feel the same, just the opposite. I hate the cold, so if the heat isnt way up in the winter (which I dont do because its expensive and horribad for poor mother earf) I have to be bundled up in a million layers.
