    Default Need some tech advice

I am trying to download a bunch of songs I have found on a site that are actually linked to the video's mostly posted on youtube. They are mostly mashups that people have added videos to after the fact so the sound quality is not an issue but I don't really want the videos, just the mp3's if possible. Can I pull the audio form the original embedded voideo toa download, or do I need to go to Youtube first and then pull it form there? What's the easiest steps if I am looking to get about 100+ songs?

So far, it seems real player is the easiest. My goal would be to do as little clicks as possible. Right now I can open ten tabs at once and just download each as I go

There's a lot of various websites that allow you to post the youtube link and then rip the audio from it. However, a lot of them don't work. You can try various combinations of the keywords "download, MP3, Youtube, Youtube, MP3, Converter" in google. I would post some various findings but it is technically illegal and I don't wanna get banned :P. The program I used to use has since been blocked and discontinued.

Just an fyi also, the quality is going to be noticeably worse since there is an assload of compression that youtube automatically does on uploads when it turns them into the FLVs that you see playing on the site.

Yea I looked into them. To download over a100+ songs would require sometimes 3-5 clicks and copy pasting a ton. So far I think just openeing a bunch from the list in separate tabs and then the right click, download to media player seems to be working rather quickly.

I know there are some programs that let you rip the entire video but also have the ability to just take the audio track built into them but are marketed as video rippers. You can try looking into that as well. I don't really know of any 1-hitter-quitters that still work though.

Why not just download actual audio files, ripped from CD, of the songs you want? The quality will be better, and looks like it might be simpler, if not a little tedious searching for them.

Look at this youtube video by JimmyR. It will show you the best, and safest, way to get the mp3 files you want from the internet.
