    Default please help

I have been playing poker for a few years now and would like to think my nl hold em game is pretty solid. However my past rookie mistakes always creep up with me in the end and effect my bankroll management. When i play calmly and properly i will nine times out of ten make a good profit. An example is last week where i deposited ten dollars played a few double or nothings and later cash games and heads up sngs and went to around 250 dollars plus a sunday million ticket. Last sunday i played in the sunday million like a fish out of water for the first time. I was overconfident and brought down to earth. I never even realised you could cash out the tournament dollars. Anyway after a shocking performance on the million i was on tilt and was lucky last week to salvage about half my winnings. I need any advice from any players that can relate.

Welcome to FTR. It sounds like you need to practice some better bankroll management and maybe just grind up from the lowest stakes in your game of choice. There's an introductory thread here in the Beginner's Circle that should show up near the top of the list of threads. Good luck.
