This will be Obama's legacy
I consider this article a pretty spot on interpretation of the most important policy facet of Barry's administration. Sadly, he quite literally does not know what he's doing, and even though he's done several decently good to great things, his legacy will go down in flames because he wont end Wall Street's incentive to speculate rather than invest
How Obama Got Rolled by Wall Street - Newsweek
It's disheartening, really. Germany, as an example, runs an awesome trade surplus and has super strong manufacturing almost entirely due to their financial institutions needing to invest in domestic business in order to make money. Wall Street, OTOH, has virtually no need to invest in business because they make assloads more money by just speculating and playing the numbers and devising scams. They're even doing more of it now than before the crash. Employment numbers will not recover, and there will be another crash; maybe then we'll elect a President who understands finances and economics
Perhaps he will get his shit together though. He's got over two years left and I think he will still win re-election simply due to the trash the GOP will put forth, but as the years get on, he will see that what Timmy and Larry and Benny have been telling him about the 'recovery' isn't happening. As of now, I'm positive he believes the garbage they're telling him
