pre and flop is fine, but on turn he's never bluffing so his calling range is going to be larger than his betting range. if you check turn it should be with the intention of c/f (i'm not advocating that you do that).

also i think raising pre is waaaaaaay better than limping without really specific reads on villain or bb.

yeah raising gets ma monies in, so he can fold a fuck ton on the flop. turn I wasnt sure what to do I thought if I bet and get called im beat, this is prolly wrong but his stats spooked me, I got the he got a set in my mind (leak4sho) bet/fold>chk/fold>chk/call>bet/call.
thanks for the link I'll get on reading.

Really? Why not? Id bet almost everything here after a cbet fails and then a check

edit: also, i agree with bet/fold turn. He doesnt open very many hands so things like JJ are there, and that beats out the combos of TT and 88. He'll have 99 sometimes too that might call as well as some flush draws

    are you a 13/3?
your obviously right that he has things in his range that call a turn bet

I just think its a little bit of a stretch to say hes never gonna bluff here, when all we know is that hes likely on the nittier side preflop. Idk, i guess im being a dick with semantics as i dont think itll be often enough to make c/c viable.

he's very unlikely to bluff the turn, im sorry if you got upset about with me for using an absolute term in a game with incomplete information. i was just trying to get the point across that b/f > c/c on turn

Agree with jkds about the potential for the turn bet to he a bluff, you've shown weakness, there's a scare card, and not to mention the fact the floating the flop to take the pot on the turn is not exactly a high level play, especially if you've shown a reluctance to double barrel or have a particularly high cbet stat. I do this quite frequently, but as you rightly point out, its also more unlikely for a 13/3 to be thinking that much.

    A 13 /3 over a bigger sample,I would be wary of pre.
but a 13/3 here who limp calls ,smells fishy or passive. Another barrel would be my choice.
what do people think about check raising here rather than check calling?

pre and flop are good. bet the turn and feel great when you fold to any raise of any size. as played (ie after we've checked the turn) i suppose calling is better than folding, but betting the turn is far better than anything that starts with "check".
