    Default Graphic Novels

Can someone give me a graphic novel recommendation, other than the walking dead, that is geared at adults and is interesting?

    Something like this:

Im gonna ignore your insistence of no mangas.

Hellsing: Hellsing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Full metal Alchemist: Fullmetal Alchemist - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Both are cool, and honestly its trivially easy for any manga to beat a graphic novel. Take something like superman and batman...the storys have more massive redos than the longest running soap operas.

If you're gonna ignore me anyway...i heard watchmen was kinda good (bleh). and i heard v for vendetta was based off of soem comic book series too

I saw the Hellsing anime series (only anime series I've watched for 5 minutes and wanted to watch more) and have to admit it was pretty badass. I could never get into full metal alchemist.

Wow, great picks! Those are the only two manga I own.

"Batman: The Long Halloween" was pretty good and the storyline was the inspiration for "The Dark Knight".

I have a few original early issues of Bone hidden away in my comic collection in some closet in my mom's house. I always meant to buy the fully collection, because what I had read was pretty awesome.

Akira is an amazing work that should not be missed if you are interested in graphic novels. The story, set in a post-post-apocalyptic future, is one of the greatest sci-fi tales ever told, and the art is unrivaled in the manga world or the western world. Every panel reminds me of those rare panels in Calvin and Hobbes when Calvin is flying a fighter jet or something and the scene is rendered in an ultra detailed almost technical style. If you are seriously going to refuse to read any other manga, you must read Akira.

I'm not opposed to Manga. I'm just opposed to common Manga where they demonstrate emotions with tear drops and over exaggerated red faces. ie pokemon

Noted. 70% of the way through the first bones. Not terrible but a little too silly for me.

Meh, I've decided I don't like graphic novels. Imagining setting's in my head is half the fun.
