Both UTG and BTN are running roughly 50/5 over 100 hands. BTN is quite aggressive post-flop, but I don't know if he's min-bet before. I figured I had quite a lot of fold equity with the check-raise.

On the flop, 8h5h is one of your very best bluffing hands that you can possibly have. Combine that with the button being super aggressive, and I think that checking is fine on the flop with the intention of raising as long as you're doing the same thing with most of your sets, two pairs and Qx. When he three-bets so small, calling is obvious. Note that I don't think we should be bluffing this flop very often, but that 8h5h is one of our best bluffing hands.

The flop check/raise is so good because his range is so wide and you expect him to either fold quite a bit or call down with enough that your value bets own him. When he three-bets the flop, you're hardly ever getting him to fold to a turn bet, especially on this card. Judging from your other thread with the 8h6h hand, you're probably taking it a little too far with your aggression with bluffing hands. Feel free to PM me and we can talk about it.

On the river, you're behind his range almost always.

I'd certainly c/r the flop and call the 3b, I don't understand the turn bet on the worst card in the deck. What is your thought process on the turn as in depth as possible.

If the river is 9d what would be a good line. b/f, c/c. c/r?

the guy is a 50/5 , i know drawing on a paired board is dangerous, but i feel like we're betting for value vs. his range OTR in this hypothetical right?
