    Default Anyone raising the river?

Too few hands on villain to have any real read here, but after he calls the preflop 3bet OOP then just flats a low, 2-tone flop, I (perhaps hastily) weighted his range towards medium overpairs that didn't want to raise into what they might perceive as a likely bigger overpair, and spade draws.

When he then checked the turn, I figured he was likely to have spade draws that wanted to take a free card, and [55-88] that wanted to get to showdown.

When he then bets the river, I think he's polarised to like 22 that slowplayed, 99 that peeled and spiked the boat then wanted to give me a chance to improve to a flush, and lot of PP that can bet-fold the river thinly.

    Am I wrong?

    Button ($36.58)
    SB ($67.66)
    Hero (BB) ($34.97)
    UTG ($80.12)
    MP ($25)
    CO ($40.21)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A
4 folds, SB bets $0.75, Hero raises to $2.25, SB calls $1.50

    Flop: ($4.50) 2, 4, 4 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, SB calls $3

    Turn: ($10.50) 9 (2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks

    River: ($10.50) 6 (2 players)
    SB bets $6.50

    Hero???

I like the thought process but just seems pretty spewy and assuming a bet/fold by villain is a bit presumptuous without a read.

Range you cbet the flop with?
    Range you check turn with?

I'd imagine raising there with AKo is spew. However I don't dislike betting the turn again, villains range will mostly be PP type stuff and some overcards and I'd imagine you can fold out a big chunk of that and not be in bad shape when you do hit a K or an A on the river.

OK, I'm readless so I reckon I'm 3betting like 77+, AXs, AK-A8o, KQ, KJ-K9s, QJ-Q8s, JT-J7s and probably some other suited connectors and some random trash.

Depending on my whims, I'd cbet basically all of it on this flop, since I have no idea of his tendencies, it's not hit much of his range, and he's going to fold a lot of his 6-outers and even some small pairs.

I'm then checking turn with all my weak crap - I'm basically giving up unless I either have something I think I can bet for value with on the turn (TT+, trips, boats), I've picked up equity to barrel with (a diamond draw), or I just keep barreling with a spade draw.

In fact, readless, I'm not sure there's any reason to suggest I'd barrel a draw anyway, as I don't know his tendencies yet, so I'm not sure whether it'd be best to barrel, or just take the free card, so the only hands we can be sure I'm not checking with are [TT+, 34h, 45h, 34c, 45c, A4h, A4c, 22, 99]

you have the nut A-high. Why would you raise the river with it? I would either call river or fold river depending on reads.

Yeah, I completely see what you're saying - readless, I don't think I can call, so I should have folded the river.

I felt like it was a good spot to turn it into a bluff, and I felt like I didn't have any showdown value when he bets the river since spade draws he decided to bluff with are a small part of his range. I thought the turn check, then the sizing OTR suggested a weakish made hand that he might bet-fold the river with.

What's actually wrong with my thought process here? I accept your help gratefully, and I do believe I played badly here, but I'd like to be clearer on exactly why my thought process was wrong.
