Villain was playing 39/27 with a 4% 3Bet over 92 hands that I had on him.

Should I have never been 3betting this in the first place? And was folding on that flop when he bet that thin the right thing to do?

I think it's marginal pre between 3betting and calling. As played, I think just fold to this cbet, we're not beating much and what we do beat has plenty of cards to hit and plenty of cards to scare us. We can't take any more heat. Maybe we can call flop in the hope he checks turn, which means we can check behind and call river bet on good runouts, that's probably viable too.

I just had a terrible feeling that he flopped a monster. I guess I could have paid the 8BB's it would have taken to see the turn though, huh?

He might have a full house, but it's unlikely. The more likely big hands he has in his range, ie QQ+, probably bet the flop more because flush draw. The small bet look like flush draws and whiffed AK, so yeah call flop because we're ahead of his faggot betting range, but don't raise because we hate being called or reraised.

    Sounds good.

Looking back on this hand I probably shouldn't have 3bet 99 but once I did - I do agree I should have called here. Thanks again.

Yeah just flat pre. Call the flop.

    Flat pre.

If you're squeezing pre, fold or jam to 4b. Though given his low 3b his 4b is kinda scary, so leaning towards folding.

If you're flatting the 4b, call flop to this sizing now.

Cool. Yeah I'm sure you familiar with how much hindsight comes into play with these hands. I felt an open opportunity to 3bet and get a fold or a call from a weak range. Once he 4bet that was an easy fold. Easier each time I look at it, too.

Yah the lower villains 3b, the stronger his range will be for back raising. If villain had like a 10% 3b or something, I'd prob just jam over his 4b.
