Call pre might be a mistake, I'm not sure. The turn is the real decision, I really, really, really wanted to fold because it looks exclusively like 66/88, and it's the death line. What else can he have here, like AK?

Then he checks the river which is weird as fuck, can we ever value-jam river?

What's his UTG open? You can't really look at overall PFR stats to make a decision on preflop being good or not, you really need to look at positional PFR.

As played, you really can't EVER fold to the turn for those pot odds.

As played on the river, I think there is prob some value in a half pot bet.

turn could be QJhh/AQhh/QThh/Q9hh/79hh/57hh/66/88/KQ/68s. calling is ok cause we are IP.
check river. what's he calling when you jam?
All posts are just my own opinion about a hand or a general situation... not advices on how you should play...

Half-pot is like $10 and effective stacks are ~$12, so you don't mind jamming here?

I know folding the turn seems ridiculous as well, I just feel I am beat here so much of the time.

I think preflop is bad unless there are some really weak players left to act. Even the, with 25nl rake I'd just dump this tbh.

I strongly disagree with your assessment of his range on the turn. I think you have >50% equity vs his range easily here and would probably just shove now before the river kills your action.

You played this hand well. I thik that he had AK, because the way like he played this hand looks like he had AK. However, that depends about the players and their play style, because in some situations like this I've met players who have set like three eights or something, like you said. So for my oppinion you played this hand very well, and sometimes it's better to not risk, like you did in this hand.

If there was a weakness in this hand it was your pre flop call. Anyway you did call and you have found yourself with a playable hand which you played well. When it gets to the River the only two options are to push or accept the check. I do not see any point in betting anything less than your remaining stack. As always would be good to know how it turned out.

    Pretty well explained.

I d just like to add that utg's open(assuming % is normal) probably rarely takes takes this line. In other words you got your shot v. The fish IP . So I'd be shipping the turn sometimes. Like renton said you most likely have good equity ott. Ha now the flush comes in and he check s. Weird hand
