OK the UKGC has no experience of online poker regulation but I know they have been thinking about their new role for 2 years as I have been banging on at them for that long. They may well still screw up but let's compare it to New Jersey or Nevada
No geolocation crap
No cap on total licencees or new entrants
No casino tie in required
International player pools
Letting foreign based firms compete.
Regulating the B2B networks not just the skins (think Purple Lounge)
UK is still running good but more, so is everyone* else.
* not so much for grey black markets. Soz but I blame your governments not us Brits.
downside is that VIP will be downgraded to reflect the new tax that stars have to pay (but even then vip benefits to players aren't taxed) and auto top up is removed(could be temporary and may soon get solved by an AHK script)
