For me, I'm usually no prob calling another $4.50 on the button with QQ, or even raising, but that depends on the player. I've noticed a lot of players making big raises on small/mid-pairs as some sort of semi-bluff. Sometimes if they miss the flop, they'll fire out another big bet to see how you react. If I hit, I call or re-raise. If I miss, but no overcards fell, I've started re-raising to see how serious they are. The button is a huge advantage, you've got to use it.

This is one reason that I've stopped playing multiple tables and started watching all of the hands that are played. If you have been at the table for awhile and paying attention you ought to be able to pick up on how often he raises and with which hands. Another thing you can see is how firm he is on a semi-bluff. Does he call a re-raise or give up easily?

Its hard to say without watching how these guys play for a while. But it would not have been bad to call $5 w/ QQ. I might even go all in or at least re-raise. Test the table and show them that you will not be pushed around. Maybe get some respect later on a bluff. It is harder when you suffer a prior beat but I've had AA v. KK and KK v. AA a lot. The poker gods will even things out in the end.

You had a crap flop which was great for your hand and both players acted weak w/ there $.50 bets. Too bad you folded before the flop. If you were not in the right frame of mind to push a premium hand hard, you should pull your money of the table and come back later when you are ready to push people around. Its a game of agression.

Depends on the player. With those stacks I would either push all-in here or fold. The limp-re-raise scares the #$%& out of me though, Jacks would be a no brainer fold and with Kings I'd say a silent prayor to the poker gods before pushing.

However, if the game is 7 handed or less, QQ is an easy all-in.

This is your typical "Party Poker moron overplaying a pocket pair" scenario.

If he demonstrated to me by his past play that he was a solid player, I probably would have read that bet as QQ, KK, AA or AK, and I probably would have folded. In a non-tournament game, I really am not comfortable going all-in preflop with anything less than KK or AA against a solid player.

But, if I was reading him as someone who has a tendancey to overplay his hands or bluff, I would have gone all-in.

If I didn't know his tendencies, I'm not sure what I would have done. I probably would have gone all-in. My general strategy on Party Poker is to assume everyone is a moron until they demonstrate evidence to the contrary.

It also depends on exactly how much all-in would be. If he or I had a short stack, I would be more inclined to go all-in.
