    Default Poker Software Question.

I've been hearing more and more about certain programs that can help a player track their games online as well as the players oponents. I was just wondering how prevalent this is? And is it something for me to be worried about? I like to keep it honest, and hope that there are safegaurds for the honest players.

I don't think there is anything dishonest about keeping records about hands you've played and who you've played them against. All of the online sites give you the ability to keep notes on players, and many players make notes about live games and opponents.

Poker Tracker is the software I use, and its not black magic. It simply takes in your hand histories and gives you the ability to analyze them. I think some people have the idea that it tells you how to play or something like that. It doesn't.

Thanks for the reply. I was more talking about the winhold'em program. I guess it was said that, that program would advise the player what their opponents tendencies were. I guess I'll just not worry about it and play as best I can.

Well, a lot of the higher level players have tried to get them banned but the poker sites have refused stateing they are "odds calculators".

From there point ehy don't want players to have an edge, they would be happy to have everyone play on an equal field and rake them to death.
Poker is all about the long long long long long long long term . . .
