    Default Ranting...

3 hands in a row I just got in limit, which I played very straight-forward:

AA loses to two pair on the river

Two pair on the flop loses to a set on the river

Set loses to a flush on the river (on which he did not have pot-odds)

needless to say, I've stopped playing for the moment...
    If I had a hammer
    I'd drop in the morning
    I'd drop in the evening..

How can you not have (implied) pot odds to draw to a flush in limit? Heads-up on a paired board with the pot unraised?

well, now that I think about it, maybe he did have pot-odds... but should be 3-betting the flop (after a bet and raise by two other players) with nothing more than a flush draw?

I'm just bitter, don't mind me...

This one sounds even more off. He has a 35% chance to hit a flush, and it sounds like there's 4 players in the hand. If that's the case, and he's drawing to the nut flush, yeah, he really should be 3 betting. He's putting in 25% of the money and has a 35% chance to win (as far as he knows - not knowing you have a set, and have outs even if he does hit).

nope, three, sorry if I phrased that poorly. I bet (being straight-forward here), it was raised, flush-draw three-bets (I tripped the highcard on the board, btw). And it wasn't nut, some T/6 or something. I guess he's still getting slight pot-odds there, technically, but with the non-nut flush....?

Flush over flush is almost as freak as set over set. The biggest risk of a baby flush is 4 of your suit hitting the board.

    True.

The odds seem too borderline to me to be raising there, though.

Does this mean that everytime I have a flush-draw with more than 3 people in the hand I should be raising? Do you do that? I guess it could make sense.. I fatten the pot and have some sort of folding equity....

    It depends

How many people are in the pot
What other outs I have besides the flush
The chance of taking down the pot with just aggression
    If the board is paired
How strong my flush draw is
    ....

For the most part, I'm looking to build a pot with a flush draw. I'm looking to trap as many players as I can for 2 or 3 SBs. Even when it's not a pure value play, it ties them to the pot with weak holdings when I hit.
