I figured for him to re-raise all-in after I had check raised him he probably had 55, K10, KJ or possibly KQ.

The table had been extremely tight (which is surprising for a $5 pokerstars sit and go) and I hadn't seen any weak kickers.

This player had seemed quite tight as well. It was a tough laydown.

Still too early to put all your chips at risk when you're not sure if you're winning. I probably would have layed it down as well.

No raise, in late position from the guy, about the only thing you could possibly fear is 55, plus you had 2:1 chips over him, you would be in good shape even if you lost, I'd usually make the call unless he was an extreme rock.

-edit- I was just looking over this again, and the my beliefs are cemented, You can only realistically fear 55, because of the the preflop limp, K10 or better in late position is a raising hand in these circumstances, so I truly believe your Kicker would have been good, and you can't play fearing the nuts. Call, everytime.

I'm calling here. If you're not calling, what are you doing in the hand anyways? Why complete 50 if you're gonna fold rainbow trips... Hoping to flop a straight? What are you gonna do when the board is TJQ and someone pushes all in. Are you going to fold in fear of AK?? CALL, that's why you completed!

Some agree the fold was good, some think it was bad. LOL

I would normally call like a shot in this situation but the table had been extremely tight. I went on to finish 2/18 so it worked out well in the end.

You're always left wondering in these situations.

My rationale was that for him to re-raise all in after seeing my check raise he probably had the goods. I hadn't seen him limp with trash.

Also, in low buyin games, the majority of players do not conform to "optimal game strategy" and it is quite common to see K10, KJ, KQ not raised in late position by a lot of players.

Should you loosen your all-in calling requirements just because you have more chips if you think you are probably beaten?

I was getting 2-1 to call so I think in retrospect I probably should have called anyway but I really couldn't figure out what kind of hand he would re-raise all in with that would not have my K9 beat. Perhaps a limp with a medium pocket pair?

can't know for sure, but that looks like a bluff raise to me. i would call.
