PokerStars .50/1 Limit....

Is it even worth it to play at tables like this?? people call raises with any two suited cards, and they basically call everything. When you have 3 or 4 people at a table that are all doing this, one of them will hit what they want, and you...playing correctly, gets screwed. What have your experiences been in relation to things like this? It almost seems like its a game of pure luck sometimes

The only time I've played there (and it was at those limits) was to grab a bonus offered by one of their affiliates. I played super tight, going in on primium pairs and high suited only, playing "fit or git" on the flop and not keeping ANY hand I wasn't willing to take to showdown.

Funny thing was that I actually made a few bucks while clearing the bonus.

Now most of my experiences with limit have been losing ones, but YOU WANT TO PLAY WITH THIS KIND OF PLAYER.

party .5/1.0 seems pretty swingy, but i think i'd rather learn facing "gambling" rather than facing "sharks". my impression from NL is that stars is tighter than party, but you get plenty of loose calls. If you should probably play the highest limit that fits in your bankroll... if you aren't good enough, you'll step down soon enough anyway. But the penalty for a thin bankroll is playing games with a bigger swing. If you don't have $600 to play 1/2 it's totaly worth playing .5/1
