    Default Please insult me.

I am looking for people to ridicule me mercilessly, so that I never do this again. This is a SnG, pretty early on, 8 players left. I think I let the fact that I had a narrow chip lead go to my head.

I don't feel like I've made a mistake like this in a long long time, but I am hoping to eliminate this from my game forever, so pick your words carefully when hurling the insults so that it makes a lasting impact.

Play was fine until you called the big reraise on the flop. DON'T FALL IN LOVE WITH ANY HAND YOU JACKASS! He showed strength preflop with the re-raise so you must have put him on AA-10. You took another stab and got re-raised again. That screams of overpair, 2 pair or set. Let it go. He was not being shy about it.

If it were the end stages of the game and the same hand came up shorthanded I would probably play it similar.
Send lawyers, guns and money - the sh*t has hit the fan!

hard laydown, but you have to think what kind of hand they would reraise you like that. a very select few players could bluff raise like that, even on a semibluff.

    himself fucker.
Tell me a hand that will reraise you preflop and on the flop that you can beat.

    Take your time.

As Daniel Negreanu said to Amy Wynn Pastor; " Oooh that is a very pretty hand, but unfortunately it is no good anymore...go ahead and fold it"
We have all been blinded by a hand and made stupid calls. I would have probably raised more than the minimum preflop (in this case it saved you money) You bet the flop nicely...but the reraise should have screamed "you are in trouble"
Not really worthy of an insult...just a bad play, learn from it and move on.

Isn't that the truth. That is pretty aggravating and it's what keeps me from really reading up on the posts there. Lots of people with "God" complexes.

The really sad part about this is that I made most of my winnings up to that point on the same basic situation, only I was the one sitting on the high pocket pair. I had KK, made a 4XBB preflop raise, two callers. Flop is AKx. I bet it big and got reraised by a dude holding AQ. Called him to the river and took his whole stack.

I should have seen it coming when I was on the other end of it later on.
    Thanks for your insults.

Hold on fer a minute, I haven't even had my chance yet. Lets see... umm... Your stupid/lazy/ugly, your mother dresses you funny, and after reading that hand history, you should be chained to a stainless steel chair in a dark room with a single light and beaten with a rubber hose until you remember never to do this with AK again.

Just kidding. Happens to me all the time (losing my stack, not the rubber hose thing, cuz that would hurt).

This is one of the major leaks in my game, i get blinded by top pair and by top set and fail to notice other peoples actions. Sometimes they just screm "FLUSHHHHHH" with their bets but i keep on pushing because i have a lot of trouble lettin TPTK go. Any of you guys know any way to avoid this because its sort of a big problem for me...

Fold it, that's the easiest way. But to ACTUALLY answer the question, think of Fnords mantra, don't bet the farm on TPTK, and go by the board. Next time you have doubts holding it, think of all the big pots you've lost with it. and read the board. I can't stress betting patterns enough, does player x re-raise w/ a strong hand preflop or does he smooth call. It comes with lots of experience; furthermore, it's a lot easier to lay down TPTK in a NL game opposed to limit.

so that I never do this again
I think a greater mistake would be to believe this is possible. You may slow it down to a crawl, but it will happen again. Well unless you quit playing altogether that is.

Same thing happened to me the other day only with KK in the hole with 2 Q 4 rainbow on the flop, my partner in this venture limped in, then called my raise preflop. Then on the turn a 7 shows up and this guy starts going crazy betting. I simply would not allow myself to believe he hit a set of 7's which is just what he did.

What I usually get aced on is having two pair w/ board paired, I have come to really hate that hand - usually get spanked with a boat to boot! - Damn! don't ya just hate it when that happens?
