 Surprised no one has mentioned this??
I received the following email about a week ago and was waiting for any news/comments etc. by any other recipients. I know there has been a few false starts for this poker room but it looks like they are close to launch.
Anyone else get this email or has anyone heard anything further about 'Check n Raise'?

It is our distinct pleasure to announce a launch date for Check n Raise Poker.com.
We open on Saturday, Nov. 27 @ 4PM ET, and will start taking deposits at that time.
Some of you have been waiting to hear this news since June, when we started promoting the fantastic benefits of pre-registration. Thank you all for your patience, and for sharing your continuing enthusiasm as we've proceeded through development and testing phases.
Getting Started
When we open on Saturday, November 27 @ 4PM, click on the "Pre-registered Player/Dynamite Poker Player" button on the home page (it is not there now). You will be asked to enter your screen name and temporary password. Then, you will be asked to create a new password.

Deposit Bonuses & Freeroll Eligibility
We're letting all our pre-registered users know about this launch date today, so you can schedule yourself accordingly. As we said during our pre-registration marketing, you will receive an industry-leading deposit bonus (either 50% up to $250 or 60% up to $300, depending on when you registered) and 500 Check Points when you make your first deposit. This opportunity is only available to pre-registered users until December 27, 2004. First deposits made after that date will be eligible for our standard 25% deposit bonus (up to $100).
In respect to our $10,000, $5,000 and $1,000 freerolls, the first, second and third groups of one thousand people who make deposits will, in order, become eligible to participate in these events. We will notify all players whether their deposits qualified them for one of these freerolls (and which one) on Tuesday, November 30.
Technology
As many of you know from your participation in our beta-testing, our poker site is brand-new and proprietary (we've developed it ourselves and it is unlike any other poker site on the Internet). You'll see a lot of spectacular new features when you log-in and start playing, including My CnR, a personalized webpage which allows you to review your hand histories, player notes, buddy lists, event calendars and many other things.
Our site does make use of both Java and some limited pop-up technology (this is for opening game tables, not for displaying ads). When you come to the site for the first time, we will run a test to see if these technologies will run properly on your computer. If not, there will be clear instructions on how to make them work.
Note that we are diligently working on making our site mac-compatible for the Apple Computer user community. We expect to launch this software in January, and are maintaining a separate notification list for mac users.

Promotions
We're going to be posting extensive information about Freerolls, Tournaments and other generous promotions on our site on a regular basis. Do note, however, that our $250,000 Competition for Gold, Glory & Sweet, Sweet Cash starts on January 1, 2005.
