    Default Tough one.

    100 NL .5/1.00 blinds

    78d on button 5 limpers

    FLOP 2d Jd 10c

    Checked around

    Turn 9s

mp bets $2 and Co calls $2 I raises to $10

MP goes allin for $77 I have him covered ($90)

I have bottom end of straight fairly well hidden and diamond draw.
Do I call hoping he doesnt have KQ or hope I hit a diamond if he does , the only hand that beats me, or fold and live to fight another day?
Holy crap I cant play against Yoda!!

call..I think he would have made more callable bet with KQ straight

set that missed check raise now fearing straight draw would play this way
weird 2pair including the 9 plays this way

    + flush draw

    himself fucker.
You can only hope he's semibluffing with the suited ace, missed a check-raise on the flop with a set or made the straight. It's close either way.

What were your notes on him?

I had him as a pretty good solid player, which made me think I probably should call because, again if he had the nuts (KQ) he would want me to call not fold. I'll post what I did after a few more comments are posted.

I think he has the vulenerable set and wants to make up ground since the flop was checked around. I'd make a confused and semi-crying call on this one. It's so close either way.

I would definitely call. He could easily be making this play with a set, two pair, or maybe even a semibluff with something like 10dAd or QJ. Like you said, I'd think that he'd make a more callable raise if he had the nut straight, and even if he is holding KQ, at least you have the diamond redraw so you're not dead.

I'd likely be tempted to fold as it is such a massive AI with those stakes. However they play by him is a little strange that if he did have KQ he'd either check-raise or bet more than the $2 (the pot is $5 or $6 at this time) - which is a pretty weak bet. I'd think for that kind of bet he's more likely to have something like AT or perhaps QJ or KJ?

It could very well be desperation for a set if he doesnt think anybody could beat it at that time.

If he had KQ he would most likely re-raise to $20 ?

    My ice is polarized
I vote KQ, trying to make the flush draw pay.

Then again a set or two pair is likely, he is like ah crap 3 to a straight on the board, protection time.

Maybe he is overbetting the pot to make someone think he is bluffing hoping to get a caller. It smells like KQ though... I'd call and hope for that diamond. KQs diamonds? I hope not.

Set of nines, he's not sure if he had top pair or not on the flop.
He hit the set on the turn, tried to induce a bet. he knows you don't have the flush yet, but thinks you're just trying to push him off his hand. He probably thinks you'd have bet overcards on the flop, with you're late position.

    just a guess though.

I'm gonna go with the set. The nut straight would definitely bet small enough to call. It's such a huge overbet for a decent player that it smells like protection. I'd call, but I wouldn't be happy about having to do it.
