Good laydown or pussyplay ??

This has happened mostly by getting involved in pots where I didnt respect reraises.

So ive changed how I play a little, and heres an example:

I was in bb, and normally fold anything but good cards. If I get good cards I always bet 1 dollar. preflop. The guy might have picked up on that I dont know.

The reason for the reraise was to test if he really had a ten, in wich case I would be in for a rough ride taking it all the way. I was expecting a pot sided rebet if he did hold the ten high kicker. So the small rebet kinda puzzled me.

I decided to stick with the plan, and folded. Good or bad ??

Couple hands later he done the same another time, making me fold outta top pair 2 kicker. And this happens:

Umm I dont usually raise with QJ. Plus there is a King on the turn. Shut down with the over.

Second hand = should have folded. You had one pair with an overcard on the board and a big bet.

If you were playing aggressively and correctly in the past and had a bad run recently - count it as a bad run. Things will turn around on their own accord if you are playing good poker.

what u guys think ? sucky play ? I read somewhere here that ak unpaired postflop with healthy rasise preflop was ok to bet. Thats what I did, the reason for pot bet was, that I figured if he call a halfpot bet we would end up all in anyway. so might as well try to scare him now than later.

As long as you're the agrressor here, you had outs. I'd question calling an all in with your hand on that board though, but betting the flop was koo.

OK...so you've got a 4 as a kicker. WHO FRIGGIN' CARES? Chances are, you're not going to be using that 4 as a kicker; you'll be using the river as your kicker, or perhaps it will pair the board and your kicker won't matter! Either way, you should call that bet.

And that's ASSUMING the other guy has a 10. With that minimum reraise, he probably put you on A and a good kicker testing to see where he was at...so he reraised you right back!

Other one...that sucks. I'm sorry. That would ahve been a decent fold.
