    Default critique these hands

OK, so here's the deal - long time visitor to FTR, first-time poster. I'd like to hear your knowledgable opinions to these hands - were they played right? Did I get extremely lucky? I won them but I don't want to rely on luck if that's what it was....thanks.

In the hands below, I am PLAYER.

Hand one reraise his reraise on the flop and bet the river. Hand 2 consider folding it when the 4th diamond comes out. Hand 3 good call since you got oyur money in preflop.

Disagree - by that point he's got the pot odds to call with anything decent, and a set qualifies. I would have liked to seen more aggression earlier in the hand, when the other guy was raising him. Re-raise both the flop and turn. Get your money in early. The way it actually went down, the pot was almost $50 on the river and your call there is $8... no reason not to call that, even with 4 diamonds out.

Hi Quack, it's about time you've posted here!

Hand 1 - I like the pre-flop raise, I don't think you should fear the raise on the flop, a re-raise is good option here. Make him pay if he's on a flush draw (which he was). I don't mind the river check, but if you put him on a flush and he missed, you could bet the river.

Hand 2 - kind of the same thing, you've flopped the set, no reason to fear the raise on the flop (he could only have pocket aces to beat you), also with two suited on the flop, make him pay if he's chasing the flush. You have covered in chips, I'd go all in right here.

Hand 3 - Good pre-flop raise with the hooks, good call all-in.

Overall, well played, but still a bit passive on strong holdings. If you think you are ahead, don't fear putting more into the pot - give yourself two ways to win, make him fold or have your good cards hold up.
