    Default Two hands for discussion

(0.25/0.5$ NL 10 players, real money)

    Hand 1:
I get pocket (T T) from late position
only BB callers, so I raise 3$
player X and Y both calls the rest folds
    FLOP (2 4 8)
X goes All in without hesitation for 12$
    Y calls
    my read:
X is a chaser I am waiting to take out, Y is difficult because he vary his betting alot, usually show a strong hand but sometimes also bluff.
I have top pair and if first to play I would have bet, but to call or raise is harder.
X might be on a straight draw, being a chaser, only an 8 or two pair is very possible with this guy. ConclusionX: I would call him.
Y is dangerous and I put him on a set or high pair, drawing me in, because he would raise if bluffing. ConlclusionY: He's got something.
    ConlcusionX+Y: I fold
    Turn (J)
    River (7)
    X shows (A 8) a pair of 8's
    Y shows (5 5) a pair of 5's
    X wins pot

I had the winning hand, but still think I did right to fold here.
The call with (5 5) was strange I think. Any comments?

    Hand 2:
I get (K K) in early position and reraise a 2$ to total of 5$.
player X and Y calls the rest folds
    FLOP (4 8 J)
    my read:
X is a chaser betting anything and bluffing alot. I know he could chase the flush here and only a big bet would fold him.
Y is a very strong player with a big stack for the table. I put him on a pocket pair of 8's-A's or AK , AQ or maybe AXs. So he could hold a set, but I do not think so.
I go All in for 35$
X calls with his 33$ and is All in
Y thinks a long time, then calls 35$
    X shows (A9)
    Y shows (AA)
    Turn (4)
    River (5)
Y wins big pot with pair of A's

Big loss there. Did I overbet

Hand 1. Grow a pair. Easy call. The pot was laying you good odds. The only thing you had to fear on that board was a set in which case you were crushed. Discout the overpair based on the pre-flop action.

However, not an unreasonable fold where facing 2 AI's before it got to you but you knew Y was stupid so respect his call less.

Hand 2. STBY. That's poker. It was correct move to make the draw pay and pick up a nice pot on the flop. Had you bet pot you would have committed yourself to the pot anyway b/c you only had $35 left.
For example, lets assume on the flop you bet $15 and one of them re-raised you AI. Are you really going to fold that hand? Most times it would be incorrect to do so.

    Default mmm

    hand one.

I wouldnt say he wasnt bluffing because he didnt raise, id say he DEFINITLY had a hand, since he call an all in. u cant bluff all ins.

about him calling with pocket 5s, he prolly had the same read on player x as u had. thats why he called, the reason why he didnt bet was because he didnt know what u had prolly, and then again cause he had a relatively weak hand.

if I woulda called as you ? yes I think so, I would most likely have put x on a draw or a steal too, and y on top pair top kicker or something like that. if he had raised id put him on a overpair, so yea, id call it. then see what he would do.

    second hand.

tuff loss, Id prolly wouldnt have bet that much, just do a pot bet to try to draw em in and then make it all in the hand after. that y held aces, just tuff luck.

Thanks for comment. But wouldn't you worry about a flush draw here? How much should I bet in the given situation to make it hard for someone to call with a flush draw? Pot bet sounds too small I think?

Ok, I understand I was probably wrong to fold here. I'll remember until next time. Thanks
