    Default Summer Job

Ok, so my job sucks. I work at Circuit City in the technology department. I sell computers, digtial cameras and camcorders while going to college. I really need a new job for this summer because last summer this job absolutely sucked because no one comes into the store. Its booooooring. I have to work because I can't play poker instead. I'll play on the side for extra money but my mom wouldn't like me playing as a sole source of income. Also I don't have a BR put together right now for me to depend on. So all you college kids what are you doing this summer? I guess I'm just trying to get some ideas as to what sort of fun summer job I want. So, bounce some ideas off me. I'm thinking of working at a country club because I love to golf, seems like a good fit. I'm having trouble thinking of much else.

    Accounting Intern.

All other non-major jobs suck ass. You should have enough time from now until then to build a BR.

I worked at a movie theater for a summer and loved it. All the popcorn you can eat, and free movies for everyone you know FOR LIFE.

    Easy job too.

I'm also considering changing my major as well. I'm a business major right now but I'm strongly considering entering the criminal justice program. If I go this route I'll probably get my real estate license as well and own some rental properties on the side.

Over summer I work as Security for EMC². (Their a huge company competing with IMB). We got our own huge desks and computers. I sat on a computer for 8 hours a day playing stupid flash games. $9.50 an hour to start.

TM, that sounds more boring than a slow retail day. I can play flash games at home. Don't you get bored not having something engaging to do?

If you want something engaging, do construction or landscaping. The pay is good and sometimes it feels good to do real (manly) work.

I know what you mean. A guy I know has a tree removal business and I've done that in previous summers. Its hard, physical labor but its nice to be outside and the pay is great.

Hell yeah the best job I ever had was mowing grass and climbing trees choppin em down dangling inches from my death. I hate inside jobs unless its sittin at the nl tables at the taj or playin poker in my room. I almost got my foot chopped off by a lawn mower slippin on a hill. LOL!!!! BRUTAL!!!!! Actually got 11 bucks an hour and all my lunches paid for too and with driving time I probably only actually worked 5 out of every 8 hours. It rocked!!!!

Too bad you couldnt make like 200k a year choppin down trees and mowin grass because I would really love it except it is pretty much impossible to move up cause all these mexican lawn mowers that charge like 5 dollars per acre.

yea i'm "between" jobs myself, while I wait for school to start. In my town, (pop. 250k) or so, jobs aren't so easy to find, the good ones at least. I've worked enough McJobs in my day, and I'm sick of them.

I do have waiter experience though, and although that's hard work, it can pay very well if you're at a good restaurant. When I waited at Red Lobster, I made anywhere from $30 to $100 a day, particularly fri-sat-sun. But you have to deal with a lot of shit, so , yeah.
