I HATE commercial radio
(rant on)
Ok, I'm sitting in a cube farm listening to Bad Moon Rising by CCR for like the 50 billionth time because my cubemate has the oldies station on and they play the same f'n songlist day after day after day after day after day. How can anybody listen to the same shit ever gd day?? It's driving me nuts! Even songs I used to like I totally despise if they play it on this station. They have a songlist of like 100 songs, and it hasn't changed at all in 6 months.
What does the program director for this place get payed to do? Decide how many iterations there are of the same songlist? They don't even have an email address I can flame them at, which is why I'm venting here.
The other stations aren't much better, but I can turn those mofos off. I really don't see how they make money doing this. How can every music type(top40, country, classic rock, whatever) play the same songlist and still have any listeners?
Luckily we have a very good public station that plays more adult alternative then anything but also slots of time for blues, funk, bluegrass, jazz. All in all a good mix, and they play a good variety even within each type(wfpk.org if anyone wants to check it out.) Unfortunately it doesn't come in very well at work.
Oh goodie, here comes another cameo of Bread's "Make It with You". {puke}
(rant off - uncontrollably singing Twist and Shout)
That is all.
